God goes to work with us…

God at Work

There are trendy words these days, like ‘Marketplace Ministry’, yet let’s read:

Acts 18:1 ¶ After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth;
2 And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them.
3 And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.

Interesting thoughts on Aquila and Priscilla. Paul went to Corinth to go work with Aquila, and they opened their home to him, and eventually the must have got saved, discipled, and raised up a church there. They discipled Apollos, and became a missions sending church and supporter of Paul, right out of their home.

Thought of the day: Simply going to work with someone, might have great eternal value, if you are allowed to teach them the word of God. Who knows how much fruit they may bear for the kingdom of God, eternally?

Let’s go to work with Jesus today, seeking to reach the world, through the person working next to us.

Let’s Pray:

‘Father, I commit to fully obeying you in the workplace. Help me to live, work, and minister to the people around me in such a way that I make headlines in heaven today. Bless the work of my hands that I be fully provided for, and am able to send missionaries around the world, in Your name Lord Jesus do I pray, Amen’
