Donation Needed – Roofing Materials for Navajo Reservation

Roof Needed on Navajo Nation Reservation.

In April, I was made aware of the great need of a roof for this double-wide modular home located on the property of Window Rock Church of God, belonging to Ron and Tyda Harvey. The shingles we mostly blown off, and water had got in and rotted out 58lf of ridge and rafters.

The need is great, because Ron and Tyda currently care for 10 children each day, and they need a place to live.

We tore off the remainder of the shingles, and tarped it initially.

A friend purchased the framing materials, sheathing, fasteners, and 30lb felt needed to repair the deck, with the hope that another contractor might donate the metal needed to roof it.

The reframe, decking, and drying in with felt are almost complete, but I just learned that the contractor trying to donate the metal, can not, because he did not get the demo contract of a large steel building that would have provided the metal panels needed.

The house is 80’ long x 16’ wide with a 16” overhang if my memory serves me correctly. When I measured the length from the ridge to the lower edge of shingles (drip edge), I measured 113” long. I need something to roof it with.

Is anyone able to donate roofing materials to roof it with. (in an area where 50mph winds are regular).
