Follow Jesus – And MOVE!

Don’t Look Back, it’s Time to Go!
dont-look-back
1 Peter 4:That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
4 ¶ Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.
radical-christianity
There comes a point in life, when casual Christianity will not cut it. You have a radical personal encounter with the living God, and everything changes. You see your life in light of eternity.

Before, all that mattered was who was dating who, who had what new smartphone, what movie you gonna go see, what are your plans for the weekend, and living the life!

world

Now, you need Jesus, and eternity beckons, and you must fulfill your upward calling, the purpose you were created for.

Your friends do not understand!

4 ¶ Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:

They think you are odd, eccentric, off, and you become the butt of their jokes, the talk of the derogatory gossip column, and truthfully, it hurts!

You try to talk to them about Jesus, and this love and life you’ve discovered, and generally, they laugh you to scorn.
approved
And so you leave them, in obedience to Holy Spirit, to begin your own personal faith walk, stepping into what appears to be the loneliest season of your life. All your friends and family reject you, shun you, or at best misunderstand you, but there is glory in this walk, and you know it!

Hebrews 11: 24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter;
25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

You are not alone! There is an eternal people in the earth, just like you, full of love, life, joy, and a radical passion to please our heavenly Father.

Serving Jesus does not need to be life in a monastery, but is designed to be full of love for people, people you have never met yet, people to whom you are the only hope they have. There is always a people at the other side of our obedience. Step out, obey God, and Go!

Let me pray for you:
‘Father, I thank you for my friend, that has just taken courageous steps to follow you. Comfort them, encourage them, for every friend they leave behind, give them ten new ones, for every family member, 100 times brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, and inlaws according to Mark 10:29. Give them supernatural peace to obey you, and special faith to be able to believe for those left behind, to make heaven, and accept salvation through you Jesus. Thank you that you love them, and we, the Body of Christ love them, in Jesus name, Amen”

Empty Enemies

Empty Enemies

tolstoy
1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

And so we see the enemies of God: This worldly impersonal organized system devoid of love and life – the world, the Bible calls it.

Organizational structures that are sterile, void of care, concern, compassion, yet strong enough to endure generations. This is why we know the letter of the law kills, it is the spirit that brings life. If we build these empires, organizationally and administratively clean, yet without care and concern for the people these structures are supposed to serve and help, the very people we create these to serve, become crushed beneath their weight, the tyranny of unfulfilled expectations, that places people on a treadmill like a hamster: ever running, but going nowhere, making no difference, living and dying as fuel for the machine, blind to the rule of the one behind it, the god of this world, satan himself. The Nazi’s had order – just no love, nor life in their system.
lifeless
Then there is the lust of the flesh: The savage passions for promotion, power, possessions, people, places and things, that can never be satisfied. Fallen flesh, that is ever hungry for more. More what? More money, more food, more power, more sex, more entertainment, more friends, more stuff, more knowledge. Always hungry, never satisfied: lust. No matter how much you feed it, it leaves a painful empty ache each time you indulge it, because you know that you fed the wrong thing, and your true hunger, for God, for intimacy, for purpose, for passion, for peace, for honor, for love, for holiness, was never met, no matter how much you indulge carnal appetites.

Is 55;1 ¶ Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

There is that which will fulfill our deepest thirsts! Come to Jesus!

Then there is the pride of life: Look at me, look what I can do, look at my house, my status, my company, my associations with the right people. Beautiful wife, beautiful life, empty, void of life. Spending time and money to impress people who neither understand nor care about you, or who you really are, For what?
pride-world
Satan was Lucifer, the chief worship leader in heaven, closest to the throne before he fell. Why? He became proud. Those who are blinded by him, become like him – proud, selfish, screaming for entitlement, power and control. Love serves….

Joh 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Have you discovered the emptiness of life yet? Have you run hard enough on your little treadmill of work, relationships, activities, pleasures that leave you dry, weary, poured out and cored out – a hollow shell of who you are created to be? It may take some time to learn how to feed on that which truly does satisfy – to begin to feast on bread of life and things of eternal glory, but is is worth obeying that deeper nudge…that itch that has never been scratched by worldy pursuits, for you are created for much more than this world can offer. He created the universe – and is the only One big enough to fully satisfy and understand the complexity that is you!

It is Jesus who alone can satisfy the thirst and deepest hungers in your heart. Let all these enemies of God and you, die, slain at the cross, that you, like Jesus, might experience the resurrection life, found only in Him.

He is more than enough…

It has been said: ‘When the student is ready, the teacher appears…’ Are you ready yet? He is waiting, still, with loving heart, and open arms. He knows, He cares, and He waits, until you are ready to receive Him…

Let’s pray:
‘Father, I see the tyranny of the world: The hardness, the severe toughness, of the daily rough and tumble of the world. It has left a coldness, hardness, and meanness deep within my soul. How well, I know see the foolishness of my own passionate pursuits, that have left me empty, dry, hungry for what truly satisfies. So I have fallen into the comparison trap, the competitive need to impress people I barely know, nor care about. My own self will, determined to do my own will, against you. Forgive me Father, and have mercy. Meet with me, and show me why I exist, Your highest and best for me and my life. Fill me with Your Spirit, for I hunger deep inside, and nothing satisfies me…help me Jesus. Amen’

There is still Victory in Jesus!

Luke 10:19 (KJV)

19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

serpent

John 16:33

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Jesus speaking here, tells us that in this life, we will face troubles of many kinds. Yet, we are to rejoice, because He rose from the dead, victorious over death, hell and the grave. He has given us authority over all demons and demonic power.

We will have trouble, yes, but we are to emerge from every test with a testimony of His power and deliverance for His glory.

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
victory1
He gives us victory, but like any contest, to win, involves conflict….

He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

When we read Revelation chapters 2 and 3, in Jesus words to the churches, the promises given there are only to those who overcome!

That is you and I warrior!
warrior
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith

We must deliberately choose to trust Jesus in the midst of our trial, and specifically bring His promise before His throne, just as He did in His days upon the earth, declaring before all the hordes of hell, the flesh of godless people, and the cold impersonal godless worldly system that seek our destruction: IT IS WRITTEN!

As we do, His promises appear before His throne, in neon lights, and there is always a heavenly response.
throne
Help comes from the sanctuary, the very throne room of the Creator of the universe, where the precious blood of Jesus provides access, and all those proclaimed promises produce power assigned from the throne to crush demonic opposition, the foolishness of the self-will of man, and the impersonal, sterile, clinical systematic life sucking machine of worldly administrative processes that like a juggernaut would crush us beneath their mechanisms, if not for the life giving power and strength of God, infused into our hearts, and the Holy Spirit’s might to shatter their powers.

Believe!

All authority and power in heaven and earth still belongs to Jesus, and He will act and deliver you.

He cannot lie!
no lie
Let’s pray:
‘Father, as I hear the noise of godless people thinking they can make laws, policies, and do things opposed to You and Your Word, I can only look to You Lord Jesus, and choose to believe that You are greater than the mess this sin-sick world is in. You see my distress, that which is arrayed against me and You have delivered me from every power of darkness.

Holy Spirit, move through me in violent faith and authority today, as you work in me to will and to do of Your good pleasure. I command every mountain of sickness, weakness, poverty, oppression, every hindering or soulical prayer, all witchcraft and demons and their works to MOVE outta my way today, as I walk before you with a shout of triumph!
shout

Give me wisdom, strength, and courage to stand, as you manifest my victory today. Amen’

Today, I think about the Great Commission:

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19 ¶ So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

I have preached these verses, and seen the Lord demonstrate them, so many times, that this page is torn out of my Bible, I have worn it out, taped it up, until there is nothing but tatters.

Mark 16 Lev 14, 15, and Psalm 28 are today’s readings!

If you can carve out the time, read this blog I wrote some time ago, while listening to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiBn6mPjvG0

Do you know Jesus?

Each day, we seek first the kingdom of God, and this post is designed to encourage you to read through your Bible, daily, each year.

Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Joh 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Each day, as we read, we must meet with Him, for He is life!

Knowing Him, is the difference between heaven and hell, healing and sickness, heartbreak or peace, success or failure…

Today, give Him your life, for He is King of the universe.

Ac 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Call on Him today! He loves you!

Ro 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Let’s pray!
“Father God in heaven, I come to you now, and ask that You would forgive me. I choose to believe, that You raised Jesus from the dead, and Lord Jesus, I receive You now. Please come into my life, and fill me with Your presence, plan, and purpose, that I am created to live. Fill me with Your love, and may I obey, and love all those You place in my path, Amen.’
