John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:

no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

We serve a living God!

Jesus is not only the only way to the Father, He is the waymaker in our lives!

If you are up against an impossible situation, know that He is alive, active, and in love with you!

I heard a minister say:

2 Cor 1:20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

The promises of God are yes. When God gave them, He backed them up with an oath, and His character. He is holy. He cannot lie. If He said it, He must do it, for His name is at state.

Amen, is our part, where we show that we believe by what we say. The word ‘Amen’ means, ‘so be it!’.

So, 2Co 4:13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

We face a problem, and we go to God with one of His promises.

God answers in power, and delivers us.

bring-glory

This brings Him glory, as the rest of the verse says: ‘unto the glory of God by us.!’

We bring Him glory, how? When we believe a specific promise from His Word, act upon it, and see His power displayed!

Well, I want to bring Him glory today!

I choose to believe that my Shepherd, King Jesus, is going before me today. Making a way, where there seems to be no way. Rivers in the desert, pathways through the seas of my difficulties, not some day, but this day! For He is not the God of I was (the past), nor the God of I will be (the future) but His name is I AM, my ever present help in this time of my need, and yours.

Ps 68:19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

benifits

Bless the Lord O my soul, for today, this day, God almighty is visiting my house, and loading me, with benefits. How about you?

Some of you have lost your way. Like Peter walking on the water, all you see is the wind and the waves, the storms and trials of life.

Yet there is one high and lifted up, who walks above the wind and the waves, and we need to turn our eyes unto HIM!

The temptation, the trial, is real, but His Word and Power are available to change it. It is not the end of the road, there is a way, a way of escape!

1 Cor 10: 13

For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently.

Jesus is the way, and the waymaker – turn your eyes and heart to Him, and HE WILL DELIVER YOU!

Your Choices Make Your Life!

choices lifeGenerational curse?

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

Ezekial 18:19 “‘What?’ you ask. ‘Doesn’t the child pay for the parent’s sins?’ No! For if the child does what is just and right and keeps my decrees, that child will surely live. 20 The person who sins is the one who will die. The child will not be punished for the parent’s sins, and the parent will not be punished for the child’s sins. Righteous people will be rewarded for their own righteous behavior, and wicked people will be punished for their own wickedness. 21 But if wicked people turn away from all their sins and begin to obey my decrees and do what is just and right, they will surely live and not die.

I have seen people come out of homes that were drug centers, crack houses, and parents that are still living the lifestyle of sex, drugs and rock and roll.

Yet, they have chosen to live for Jesus, and do right. Fighting to be honest, loving, clean from the way they were raised.

This is the glory of the gospel. Even if someone was immoral, having sex with anything that moved, they become a born-again virgin in him, cleansed by the precious blood of Jesus!

Even if parents were addicts, alcoholics, criminals, liars, and thieves, a child can choose Jesus, life, and a life of blessing, purpose, joy, purity, and peace!

There is no sickness, disease, addiction, or criminal behavior that can be passed down generationally now, to anyone that wants a better way of life. These things are the result of the curse, but God speaks here: The sins, sicknesses and failures of the parents, will NOT be laid upon the children who choose right!

It is written: Galatians 3:13
Now Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law’s condemnation, by himself becoming a curse for us when he was crucified. For the scripture is plain: ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.

We can freely choose to live honestly, righteously, in purpose and passion before His throne, and our families, our homes, our children can be blessed of heaven, with a bright and glorious future!

choices hard

Jesus is a good shepherd, and if you decide to seek Him first, and let Him lead you out of the messes life has dealt you, you will discover Him to be all powerful, faithful, and a God of miracles.

1 Corinthians 10:13 (PHILLIPS)

God still governs human experience

13 No temptation has come your way that is too hard for flesh and blood to bear. But God can be trusted not to allow you to suffer any temptation beyond your powers of endurance. He will see to it that every temptation has a way out, so that it will never be impossible for you to bear it.

Jesus is the way, and the Waymaker!

‘Father, I choose to do right. I refuse to be limited by my past, or the bad choices of my ancestors. I am your child, royalty, and I will fight for purity and righteousness in my life, and this generation. I choose Jesus rule and Lordship in every area of my life, now! Amen’

Red Man Rising!

freedom

As I have met and fellowshipped with various first nations elders and pastors this year, I am reminded of a recurring theme I have heard from them, as we discussed broken treaties between their tribes, and the US government.

https://chrisaomministries.wordpress.com/2014/07/03/the-first-nations-mandate/

When I asked them how they felt over the US government voiding the Iroquois confederacy, or various treaties, I have heard statements like:,

‘Who says the Iroquois confederacy is out of date, we still govern our people by it. The US government may not recognize it but we still live by it’

crazy horse

Or how about the broken treaties I have asked:

‘Repeatedly I have heard, ‘Sure, the government broke their side of the treaty, but WE NEVER BROKE OUR SIDE’

This confirms what I am hearing from heaven, that God is holding the US accountable for its treatment of the North American Indian tribes, and visiting, blessing, and restoring many, many tribal nations with great favor, signs, wonders and miracles, in a movement I have called #RedManRising

Today, in my morning Bible reading with the Children, I read the following verse, that really spoke to me:

Ne 3:7  And next unto them repaired Melatiah the Gibeonite, and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah, unto the throne of the governor on this side the river.

In this case, after king David was long gone from the earth, we see the children of Israel rebuilding the city of Jerusalem under the leadership of Nehemiah and Ezra the priest, and the Gibeonites, were still faithfully keeping their side of their covenant with God’s chosen people…

Holy Spirit really spoke to me of the possibility of a beautiful tapestry of partnership, where Indian tribes can come alongside us as equals, and together we can still build something beautiful in this great land of the free and home of the brave…Jesus is still the answer, the way, and as Almighty God, He is still the waymaker when there is no way.

All things are possible to him or her that believes…

Let’s make the impossible mess in America currently, a wonderful testimony to the faithfulness of Jesus to this great land…as Bonnke shouts: ‘America shall be saved!”

Let’s Pray:

‘Father, Creator of Heaven and Earth, Master of the Universe, we need You! You who flung the stars into being, are well able to fix, recreate, and heal this land we call America. We ask, and cry out once again for You to do it! We ask, knowing that we are heard and answered, because we come in Your mighty and matchless name Lord Jesus, Amen!”

Wisdom of the Elders

Bucket-of-crabs

The Wisdom of the Elders

Some years ago, up in Canada, I was driving to work, and happened to tune the radio into CBC to catch the morning news. Instead, I heard a wonderful interview with an Ojibwa elder, an older women who was being interviewed, about some of the high suicide, alcohol, and abuse rates that were being reported on the ‘Grassy Narrow’s’ reservation. Seems that a social worker had reported that eight infants, had been literally dropped in the snow, in sub-zero temperatures, on ‘check-day’ on the reservation, while their mothers and fathers, were getting drunk and high at some party.

The interviewer was trying, with some degree of compassion, to understand the dynamics that would cause such behavior, and had quoted some serious statistics regarding alcohol, drug abuse, domestic violence, and suicide and substance abuse related deaths on the reservation.

The interviewer asked: ‘With so much money, and resource available to help your people, why is this so?’

The reply of this wise woman, has stayed with me all these years, and as a minister, I have used her story, several times over the years. She replied:

“Let me tell you a story. There were four Canadians who had travelled all the way to the Pacific ocean, to walk the beach. There was a black man, a Chinese man, a white man, and a native American Indian. It was the time of Spring solstice, when the moon is full, and tides are great, and this particular afternoon, the tides were especially low, exposing miles and miles of tide pools, as far as the eye could see along this great beach. They decided to take advantage of this, and each grabbed a bucket, and headed out on the beach to attempt to catch crabs for an evening meal. Several hours later, they came together again, and the white, black and Chinese Canadians had empty buckets, while the Indian had a full pail! The white guy immediately exclaimed: ‘I don’t believe it! How did you catch so many crabs? Seems every time I caught one, and then turned around, it quickly climbed up the side of the bucket, and escaped to freedom, hiding under a rock before I could re-catch it!’ The black and Chinese men nodded with understanding, having had a similar experience, when the Indian exclaimed: ‘Well, I only catch Indian crabs.”

“Indian crabs? What on earth is an Indian crab? They all look the same to me!”

“Well,” the Indian continued, “All I do, is catch two crabs at once, and put them in the bucket together. When the first one tries to climb out to freedom, the other one grabs his back legs, and pulls him back into the pail!”
Wisdom of the Elders
This elder then went on to say, that this was the plight of her people. Yes, there was great poverty, substance abuse, and heartbreak on the reservation, but when a young person decided to try to escape, and to get a job off the reservation, or go away to school, that when they came home, they were usually called ‘a disgrace to the race, a red apple, red on the outside, but white on the inside,’ That unless that person was exceptionally strong, they were rarely if ever able to escape the peer pressure and ostracization of family and friends, and usually fell back into the cycle of partying and substance abuse.

I have used this illustration over the years, as I taught an alcohol drug rehabilitation course.

In the Bible, we learn that close relationships have the power to either promote, drag us back into our horrible habits. That it is important to make a clean break with people, places and things, that would bring us down, and until we are strong and healed enough, certain people needed to leave our lives, whether friends or family, in order that we get free of our addictive and destructive lifestyles.

Yet, over the past year, I have been studying intensely, the history of the North American First Nations peoples, and it is a story that needs to be told. Horrible atrocities have occurred in terms of broken treaties, genocides, forced removals from tribal lands on to reservations, and children placed in boarding or residential schools, where dehumanizing things occurred.

As I listened to Ivan Doxstator speak, an Iroquois counselor to First Nations people’s, he made a statement, that is a far deeper answer to that question that many white people ask, with respect to suffering Indians living in dire circumstances upon reservations. “Why don’t the leave the reservations?” Ivan replied: ‘Because they feel that the government will take their land.”

This is no nebulous fear, if you understand the history of broken treaties, in the occupation of traditional Indian lands by treachery or the power of the cavalry across North America, and one that needs to be addressed adequately by both the church, and the US and Canadian governments, if we are to see justice, healing, and true reconciliation come to the Indian reservations of North America.

Let’s pray:
‘Father, forgive us for destroying our lives away from You. Where we need to leave unhealthy relationships, places, or spaces that are destroying us, give us strength, courage, wisdom, direction, and provision to get to where we need to be. Deliver us from our fears, and grant to us healing, true justice, grace, and protection. We choose to forgive those who have lied to us, stolen from us, and tried to steal our destiny, language, culture, lands, and identity in You. If there be any real danger, of predatory businesses, or corrupt governments still attempting to steal from me, my family, or my people, STOP them, in the name and authority of Jesus I pray, Amen.’
