Prisoners of Hope!

In today’s reading, we read the 105th Psalm. Please read it for yourself:

Ps 105:6 O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.

Ga 3:7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

Ps 105:17 He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:

18 Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:

19 Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.

tried

I wish to focus on v19,  Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.

Joseph had a dream from God as a young man, and it was authentic. He would become the prime minister of Egypt. He believed that word, and then all hell broke loose against him. Instead of his brothers rejoicing and participating in his development willingly, they beat him up, threw him in a well, and sold him into slavery. Then, as God promoted him as a slave, he was falsely accused, and thrown into prison, and God was with him. Then, the chief cup bearer for Pharoah and baker ended up in prison, and Joseph’s gift of dream interpretation ‘read their mail’.

joseph-dream

Looked like, finally Joe was headed for freedom, but nope, not yet…

There was a set time appointed by the Father for Joseph, and his life was on hold, while Egypt was being prepared for his leadership.

I love this verse. Joseph had a word from God!

Yet the very word he had received, tried him!

He had to believe he had heard God, no matter what the circumstances looked like…

joseph-dream-pic

Was Joseph trying the word of God?

Nope, the Word of God is already tried.

2Sa 22:31 As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.

Ps 18:30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.

Ps 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

So the word of God is already tried, God is holy and cannot lie.

It is us that need refinement, and believing a personal promise from God, when every circumstance is against us, provides that refinement.

Joseph is not alone in his trial, you and I are being tried too…

Job 23:10 But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

tried-as-gold

Now, read: Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Faith is a heavenly substance, and after we have believed we received, then what?

Then there is Bible hope.

hope-filled

In order to understand true Bible hope, I quote Kenneth Copeland:

“ If you look up the Greek definition of the word hope, you’ll find it means “to be intensely expectant, to be confidently looking forward to something you fully expect to happen.”

You can see this kind of hope in action in Philippians 1:19-20. There, the Apostle Paul says:

“I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, according to my earnest expectation and my hope…”

For emphasis, Paul used the two Greek words there that mean earnest expectation.

earnest

In other words, he was saying to them, “This thing is so inevitable I’m just burning up with expectancy!”

This sheds a brand new light on this wonderful verse brought before us pastors Terri and Steve Spanish of Victory.com, when we attended their connect group:

Zec 9:12 Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee;

When pastor Terri uttered those words, they literally leapt off of the page for me, under the illumination of the Holy Spirit.

Here is what I saw, clearly that night!

It is only after we have believed we received, that we need Bible hope. Hope is the total, passionate expectation that which we have believed, will surely come to pass.

great-expectation

The very word from God that we have believed, is what makes us a ‘prisoner of hope’. We see clearly by the illumination of the Holy Spirit, the vision of God for our lives, and no matter what the daily circumstances scream, we are captive to the vision. We have believed we have received, and each day, we fully expect that today is going to be the day it comes to pass!

This captivity, this heavenly vision, this faith in action, is what empowers us to:

2Ti 2:3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

It empowered the apostle Paul, when he cheerfully proclaimed the gospel in chains:

Ac 26:19 Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:

The kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force!

kingdom-warfare

We are in a war, it is the fight of faith!

To believe when it looks impossible, because faith makes the impossible, possible, in fact, inevitable!

When we have authentically heard God, that which He has spoken, tries us, refines us, forces us to grow, to discipline ourselves, to get equipped, trained, fit for service.

impossible

I believe this is what sustained Nelson Mandela through his years in prison, before becoming the first black leader in apartheid South Africa. God raised him up, through hardship, to be a vessel of great wisdom, compassion, mercy, strength, and forgiveness, in prison.

mandela

I believe he knew he would be President for many, many years before it happened, and that this inward knowing was his faith in operation, and that this word from God, tried him, just like it tried Joseph.

How about Martin Luther King? The words, ‘I Have A Dream!’ have been a battle cry against racism here in the United States since he rallied this nation to confront this great evil. He died for what he believed, yet his work is immortal, and still goes on today, for there is power in heavenly vision.

mlk-light

Think about President Abraham Lincoln: his repeated failures, yet, one of the greatest Presidents to ever live: http://www.abrahamlincolnonline.org/lincoln/education/failures.htm

As Paul Harvey says, ‘now for the rest of the story!”

Isa 61:7 For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.

Both yours and mine days of promotion and prominence will indeed come to pass, as we move forward in obedience to Holy Spirit, after we have believed we received.

Heaven is on its feet, the great cloud of heavenly witnesses, watching our course with joy, eternal testimony being written on parchment of time, we call, history.

Indeed it is HIS story, written in eternal record for all the universe to see, when we victoriously serve Jesus in this life!

Let the process have its work in you, remember, we never try the Word of God, it is trying us!

Let’s Pray:

‘Father God, I ask for confirmation, strength, encouragement, and fresh revelation of the vision for my brother or sister today. May we walk out, without compromise, the heavenly vision, and come out of this trial, perfect, entire, and lacking nothing. We ask this Father, in Your name Lord Jesus, Amen’

Seven Things I Pray President Obama Do Before he leaves office

If I were to suggest President Obama do 7 things before he leave office, this would be my list:

Obama praying

  1. Repent. While He holds the office of the President of the United States, there is a higher office than this, to which he will give an account. Jesus is Lord of Heaven and earth, and each of us, will one day appear before Him, and give an account of how we lived our life. Some time ago, I mentioned that we used to bring some people from a government housing project to a monthly Christian businessman’s fellowship that met in the top of a nice condominium building, in the penthouse suite. It was the highest and nicest place in the building. My definition of repent then, is to return to the high place, the place of privilege and honor.  https://chrisaomministries.wordpress.com/2015/04/24/whatever-happened-to-sin/

The Bible says that Jesus

raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus

Ephesians 2:6 (NKJV)

Our position in Christ is one of royal privilege before the throne of God, the judge of all the universe. Though Jesus shed blood, we have been given access to mercy and the throne, where the Holy One who inhabits eternity lives. His Word is His will, and where we have sinned and failed to perform His Word, we can ask for, and receive mercy from Him, in this life.

The first thing I would do, today, is ask for God’s forgiveness for every unholy act and decision he has committed, then for strength, to admit his wrongs, and to boldly act and to correct what the Scripture clearly says is wrong.

Some of this needs to be done privately before God, but decisions made publically, need to be repented of publically.

I think of Pilate, that had Jesus crucified, though he knew He was innocent. Jesus told him that Pilate only had authority because it was given to him by God in heaven.

Yet, one day, Pilate died, and in that moment, appeared before the risen Christ. Now he was on trial, for his eternal judgement. In that moment, all that Jesus could do, is sentence him to hell like Judas, for he did not find mercy…

What is the difference between Saul, Judas, Pilate AND David or Peter.

All sinned against God.

The only difference is, David and Peter recognized their sins were against God Himself, and they did business with Him and cried out to God for mercy, and despite the horrible consequences that came to David and his family because of his sin, was declared before God to be a man after his own heart.

Repentance

Acts 13: (NKJV)

22 And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, ‘I have found David[a] the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will

David was a liar, committed genocide, treason, stole holy things, committed adultery, murder, and had multiple wives.

Yet God forgave him it all and at the end of his life, he was considered a man after God’s own heart.

Before President Obama was re-elected, I asked the Lord why?

According to the word of God, abortion is wrong. Homosexuality is wrong. Islam is wrong, yet the Scripture states that rulers are set in place by God Himself according to Romans 13:1-5.

I believe I heard the voice of God speak to me that Proverbs 21:1

The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, Like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes

That though God did not agree with these things, that “He was going to turn the heart of President Obama, and that he would do great good for the kingdom of God, and the United States before he left office.”

I am still praying that for President Obama. That he would sell out for Jesus, whole heartedly, renounce Islam, abortion, homosexuality, and would publically stand boldly for Jesus, God’s kingdom, and would call this nation back to God.

2. That He would publically proclaim the gospel and stand fully for Jesus and the Bible. https://chrisaomministries.wordpress.com/2014/11/10/the-gospel-the-power-of-god/

https://chrisaomministries.wordpress.com/2013/12/01/prayer-for-secret-societies/
3That he would call a meeting of first nations peoples, and publically read the apology he signed in 2009 by the US government to natives for historical atrocities committed there. https://chrisaomministries.wordpress.com/2014/07/07/us-government-apology-to-natives/

https://chrisaomministries.wordpress.com/2014/07/03/the-first-nations-mandate/

4.That he would publically oppose institutionalized racism, and would implement a task force to both identify and eliminate it.

https://chrisaomministries.wordpress.com/2014/01/25/using-racial-privilege-to-promote-the-kingdom-of-god/

5.That he would denounce abortion completely, and make it a criminal offence. That he would help educate and provide adoption services to un-wed mom’s. https://chrisaomministries.wordpress.com/2015/08/05/gods-opinion-of-abortion/

6.That he would call homosexuality what it is, sin. According to God, all sex outside of the bounds of marriage between and man and a woman is also sin.  Just because two people have strong feelings for one another, and the sexual plumbing is working fine, does not make sex legitimate in the sight of a holy God. Passion and lust never satisfy the deeper needs of the human heart, Jesus promises that His living waters will. Just ask the woman at the well. Married tour times, living with her fifth man, yet not satisfied. John 4.

7. That He call a time of 3 days of fasting and public humiliation and prayer, for God to come and meet with us, that He might forgive us individually and as a nation, and heal our land. https://chrisaomministries.wordpress.com/2013/09/22/heal-our-land/

He who would be wise, walks with the wise.

In our men’s prayer meeting, one of my friends, Frank Reeder (a white veteran) a true patriarch in the faith, stood up after Iby from Nigeria spoke and put his arm around him and said: In this nation, people have tried to divide us over race, as if our skin color had something to do with who we are as men. Jesus died for all of us, and we all bleed red blood. We need to stand together against racism, wherever we find it.

Then a prosperous, wise black businessman in our group stood up and said:

“Whether a black man believes he can’t because he is inferior, or a white man tells him he can’t because he feels superior, both have one thing in comman, that is an absence of the truth in their lives.

Jesus adopted us as sons, family, in eternal covenant with Him, royalty before His throne. This is truth that makes free, for there is victory in the cross of Jesus!

OLD JIM CROW GOTTA GO! – A Stand Against Racism

As many of you know, I stand positionally against racism in any way, shape or form. I honestly believe that every person is created in the image and likeness of God, and I stand for the oppressed, and against the oppressor, whenever called upon to do so.

Jim Crow1

Over the years, I have begun to learn the stories of the host peoples of America, the treachery, the atrocities, the broken treaties, and I have publically made the statement: In American history, the black man has suffered incredible injustice under slavery, segregation, and under racist policies today, yet to the credit of this great nation, we have had a civil war to end slavery, and a cival rights movement to begin the process of true integration into mainstream society. Obviously, there is much to be done, to provide true freedom, liberty and justice for all in our black communities. Yet, in the case of the red man in America, historically, anytime, anywhere a strong native leader rose up to speak for his people, he has been shot.

I am beginning to develop relationship here in Tulsa with the Afro-American resource section of the public library, and through them, have been introduced to the wonderful work of the John Hope Franklin Center for reconciliation.

As I have participated in several events over the past years, I was invited to read a tremendous book entitled “The Warmth of Other Suns’ by Isabel Wilkerson, the Pulitzer Prize winner.

It is the story, of many, many black American’s that migrated six million strong, from the oppression of segregation in the South, to the more relative freedom from racisim, to the north.

I was reading this account of the possible history of the Jim Crow laws, and the following Bible verse came to my attention.

Jim Crow

Galatians 6:7

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Galatians 6:8

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

From Ms. Wilkerson’s book I quote:

“In the darkest hours of this era, the abolitionist Frederick Douglass saw his health fade just as everything he spent his life fighting for was falling apart.  He said, in his last great public lecture, delivered in Baltimore in January 1894, a year before his death, “I hope and trust all will come out right in the end but the immediate future looks dark and troubled.  I cannot shut my eyes to the ugly facts before me.”

It was during that time, around the turn of the twentieth century, that southern state legislatures began devising with inventiveness and precision laws that would regulate every aspect of black people’s lives, solidify the southern caste system, and prohibit even the most casual and incidental contact between the races.

They would come to be called Jim Crow laws.  It is unknown precisely who Jim Crow was or if someone by that name actually existed.  There are several stories as to the term’s origins.  It came into public use in the 1830s after Thomas Dartmouth Rice, a New York-born itinerant white actor, popularized a song-and-dance routine called “the Jim Crow” in minstrel shows across the country.  He wore blackface and ragged clothes and performed a jouncy, palsied imitation of a handicapped black stable hand he had likely seen in his travels singing a song about “Jumping Jim Crow.”  Jim Crow was said to be the name of either the stable hand or his owner living in Kentucky or Ohio.  Rice became a national sensation impersonating a crippled black man, but died penniless in 1860 of a paralytic condition that limited his speech and movement by the end of his life. “

Jim Crow pic

Seems this verse was proven true in the life of Thomas Dartmouth Rice. He acted as a palsied black man, promoting segregation and Jim Crow laws, and died in a paralytic condition, not unlike the role he acted out as ‘Jim Crow’, to promote segregation across America.

Racism in any form, is evil. People are people, and no matter their station in life, are to be loved, honored, respected as people created in the image of God. Let us stand against racism, wherever it is found, in the name, authority, love and power of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Here is another article I wrote about racism some time ago, that you might enjoy: https://chrisaomministries.wordpress.com/2014/01/25/using-racial-privilege-to-promote-the-kingdom-of-god/

Let’s Pray:

‘Father God, we come before you, in the name and authority of the Lord Jesus Christ. Lord Jesus, you told us, that we could speak to mountains, in Your power and authority, and they would move. Truly, Racism, is a mountain in the United States of America. So, we command this mountain, MOVE, that Your love, honor, respect, and true freedom might prevail across this land. Amen’

Give in faith!

1 Corinthians 9:11 If we have sown [the seed of] spiritual good among you, [is it too] much if we reap from your material benefits?

1 Corinthians 9:14 [On the same principle] the Lord directed that those who publish the good news (the Gospel) should live (get their maintenance) by the Gospel.

Paul goes on to say, that he did not use his position as a minister of the gospel to take up offerings, rather he worked, making tents, to support himself. You might notice here, that Paul was not married, nor did he have children. Family responsibilities take time, and just as you bust a move on your job to provide for your family, I work every bit as hard, doing this, faithful to the Lord in prayer and the ministry of His Word, to you.

I will never charge for this: it my responsibility to God, my calling. Freely I have been given, now, I freely give…

As you give, hear Holy Spirit what to give, and honestly expect God to reward you for your giving.

Matt 10: 41 He who receives and welcomes and accepts a prophet because he is a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward, and he who receives and welcomes and accepts a righteous man because he is a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. 42 And whoever gives to one of these little ones [in rank or influence] even a cup of cold water because he is My disciple, surely I declare to you, he shall not lose his reward.

I am a five-fold ministry gift and office – this is my life – I pray, I hear, I write, and wonderful things happen. You have your job description, I have mine – this is mine….

I have ‘see through’ faith for you, in this: Gal 3: 9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

I believe I have a responsibility before God to be like Jesus, in every offering I receive. I receive it with thanksgiving, just like Jesus did the little boys lunch.

Then, because I walk and live by faith according to the blessing of Abraham, I believe that God will take your seed sown, and multiply it, according to what the blessing of Abraham promises:

Genesis 22:17 In blessing I will bless you and in multiplying I will multiply your descendants like the stars of the heavens and like the sand on the seashore. And your Seed (Heir) will possess the gate of His enemies

It has been a joy to me, to see the hand of the living God act in the lives of those of you who have supported us this year!

Many have seen tremendous blessing come into your households, and for this we give thanks, and give Jesus all the glory!

40 Days of Prayer against Racism

As we prepare for the reading of the Tulsa Race Riot eyewitness account, on July 1st at the Tulsa Historical Society, through the Afro American Resource Branch of Rudisill Public Library we are committed to this 40 day prayer vigil, in advance of the event.

We believe that ‘Unless God gets involved, it is merely men talking, but when God gets involved, hearts and minds can be changed by His Spirit’

Today’s prayer point is: that God give each of us the simple revelation, that there is truly only one race of people, the human race. That we fight to get along with each other, not with each other. That we fight the fight of faith, walking in love, respect, and honor towards all people, no matter their language, culture, skin color, or economic status in life.
Heb 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
That to find peace, the Prince of Peace must be Lord!
That we all need the cross of Jesus Christ for forgiveness, that we all have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory, that only in Him can we live and heal together.
Pr 22:2 The rich and poor meet together: the LORD is the maker of them all.
Ac 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

Please forward this, to anyone who might consider joining us in this prayer vigil, directly targeting the eradication of racism, such a critical need in our city.

Keep Smiling!

Do you know Jesus?
The world is full of religions, various practices where we work, and work, hoping and praying that we will reach God. Religion is man’s attempt to reach God, JESUS is God’s attempt to reach man. HE CAME, the helpless baby at Christmas we celebrate, God the Son. HE LIVED a sinless life, performing mighty miracles in His earthly ministry, yet, HE DIED upon the cross, taking willingly upon this alter, the sin of all mankind, yours, and mine included. Yet, it is impossible for an innocent man to remain dead, and on the third day, HE ROSE from the dead! He is alive! Finally, after appearing to many, with over five hundred eyewitnesses, He ascended back into heaven, where He presently sits at the right hand of Father God: HE REIGNS!
Dogs bark, birds chirp, cows moo, and sinners sin: Except a man be born again, he cannot even see the kingdom of God. Jesus did not come to make bad people good, or good people better, rather dead people alive. We must be born again. When we receive Jesus into our hearts, a miracle occurs: old things are gone, all things become new, we literally become new creations in God, our bodies become temples of the Holy Spirit, and we receive royal rights and privilege before the throne of God, as sons and daughters of the most high God.

Each day, we seek first the kingdom of God, and this post is designed to encourage you to read through your Bible, daily, each year.

Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Joh 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Each day, as we read, we must meet with Him, for He is life!

Knowing Him, is the difference between heaven and hell, healing and sickness, heartbreak or peace, success or failure…

Today, give Him your life, for He is King of the universe. Only God, your Creator, the One who flung the universe into being, is big enough to fully understand the complexity of who you really are, powerful enough to literally recreate your life from all its drama’s and tragedies, and loving enough to heal your deepest pain. He knows you, and He cares…
The question is: Do you know Him?

Ac 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Call on Him today! He knows you, and He loves you! He will speak to you and give you direction, purpose, and peace!

Ro 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Let’s pray!
“Father God in heaven, I come to you now, and ask that You would forgive me. I choose to believe, that You raised Jesus from the dead, and Lord Jesus, I receive You now. Please come into my life, and fill me with Your presence, plan, and purpose, that I am created to live. Fill me with Your love, and may I obey, and love all those You place in my path, Amen.”

Today’s prayer point is: That God would forgive the sins of our ancestors, all the way back to Adam, and we call them forgiven! By Faith we call Tulsa fully into the kingdom of God, and pronounced this city redeemed. Where demons have held sway, and influenced the minds of men, we command them to leave, and declare and dispatch a changing of the guard in the realm of the Spirit, declaring and enforcing the kingdom of God, in righteousness, power, peace, love and joy in the Holy Spirit. Where demons worked, we now dispatch the host of heaven, believing Ps 34:7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. That today, angels are delivering people in our city from everything associated with racism, both individually, corporately, and institutionally.
Every tree our heavenly Father has not planted, must be rooted up, and we are appointed and anointed to uproot, destroy, build and plant.
We uproot every root of racism, and destroy every administrative structure oppressing people, throughout this city, whatever color they are, in the name and authority of the Lord Jesus Christ!
I read this prayer and I like it: http://christianstt.com/topical-prayer-prayer-against-racism-and-prejudice/

That God heal, hearts and minds, and provide divine justice, forgiveness, mercy and restitution to those who have been stolen from and oppressed. That we all need the cross of Jesus Christ for forgiveness, that we all have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory, that only in Him can we heal together.

Welcome to the Grand Illusion – A Prophetic Prayer Strategy to Take America Back!

Welcome to the Grand Illusion - A Prophetic Prayer Strategy to Take America Back!

Welcome to the Grand Illusion!

This is an introduction to my new book:-
Reminds me of an old rock and roll song, by the group Styx: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcGP0nXPQ70

When you have an elected President that openly supports abortion, same-sex marriage, Islam, and who comes against Israel, there are clearly spiritual forces in operation here in the United States, operating against the minds of the American people. We see decisions being made in Washington, that are clearly against the Word of God, and the Media drawing our attention to this or that scandal.

Obama

In a magicians act, the trick is in the illusion. Our attention is always drawn to the trick, never to what the other hand is doing…

It is time to reveal what the puppeteer who is really pulling the strings is doing, for as he is revealed, when can accurately confront and dispatch him, with the mighty weapons of spiritual warfare, and again see this land of the free, home of the brave become the place of freedom, liberty, and justice for all that we all long for!

warfare
The Bible says of Satan, that he is a mind blinding spirit:

2Co 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

In order for the majority of people to vote for a leader, that is acting directly against the Word of God, there must be spiritual blindness operating.

So, I began to ask God what was causing this blindness, because I really love Jesus, and the Bible is the Word of God, forever established in the heavens.

[ ל  Lamed ] For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.

If God is on the throne, according to Rom 13, the governments are in His hand, then how can this happen?

Well, there is no such thing as a spiritual vacuum.

As many of you know, I spent eight weeks in prayer and fasting, every waking moment, over the second term reelection of President Obama.

Many of you have heard it before, but it bears repeating. As many of you know, I and a business partner, owned and operated Grace Interior Trim, a high-end carpentry company providing trim and millwork for eight years, to build some really neat projects here around Tulsa, and throughout Oklahoma. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Grace-Interior-Trim-LLC/244907400682

Previous to that, I had given ten years of my life in preparation for the work of the ministry, that brought me here to Tulsa, to attend Rhema Bible training center from 1997-1999. Met my beautiful wife there, and I graduated on a Friday, was married on a Monday, then after a brief honeymoon hiking the Grand Canyon, we headed back to Canada, to pioneer Door of Faith church, where we served for five years, putting what we had learned into action. Although we saw a lot of miracles and healings, the church never really took off.

Well, broke, battered, and bruised, we returned here to Tulsa, with a cool word, and a dream, that we were going to minister in the US, and we were to go to Tulsa.

So, I obeyed, with a 2-1/2 year old, and a pregnant wife, and here we are…all these years later.

Yet, I God had to do some major remodel on me, before I was ready for this season, and He has used the rough and tumble of contracting to grow me up and make a man out of me.

Got so involved in the business, I completely forgot about the call….

Hooked up at Victory Christian Center, and after the hardship of the mission field, felt like we were in Christian Disneyland. For one who loves Jesus, is looking for a place to make an eternal impact with their life, Victory (Victory.com) has it going on.

Let me give my standard disclaimer about Victory:

1. Get in a connect group and set down roots and get to know some people cause you are going to need them.

2. Get a passport. Don’t be fooled, the heart of Victory is missions.

With over 1500 Bible schools with 32,000 students enrolled in around 100 countries, there is a screaming cry being heard daily in heaven, crying out for skilled laborers.

Rwanda

Preaching on the Radio, in Kigali, Rwanda

Well, I was planning a trip to Nigeria, Kenya and Israel, and God wrecked my plans and told me that He had need of my here, in the United States..

Well, on to the revelation….

I had two radical life changing encounters with heaven.

The first, was in the parking lot of our office and shop, behind the airport here in Jenks, Oklahoma. It was a Friday night, and everyone had gone, and I pulled in planning on scheduling everything for Monday, as usual. I was tired, so I asked the Lord, how long this excruciating schedule would go on in my life, and what about the ministry I trained for?

Suddenly, the windshield of my truck disappeared, and heaven opened, and I found myself in the glory of God. This was in 2009 after my pastor Billy Joe Daugherty had gone home, and I saw Jesus, Oral Roberts, Kenneth E Hagin, Billy Joe, and several others all looking at me, and the Word of the Lord came to me, telling me it was my time to take my place among them, and fulfill my heavenly calling. To leave carpentry, just like Jesus did, and follow Him, fully…

shadow
Took about a year to disentangle, but I did it.

Then, fast forward to Oct 2012, and the second term relection of President Obama. I had burden to pray for this country, that it was critical!

Ezekiel 22:30
And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

gap

So, I set my face towards heaven, to pray. I did not know how to pray, so I prayed in other tongues, on purpose, from the time I got up, until the time I went to bed, all day.

Seems I am not alone in this, read a great book by a man named Dave Roberson –

walk
Tossed and turned all night, awoke early, and did it again, the next day, all day.

We had no money, I had no job, and the utilities got disconnected in our house.

My wife and children looked at me like I was insane, but I could only pray. So, they packed up, and went to visit friends of ours in Missouri, for what we all thought would be a couple of days.

They were there five weeks.

For a total of eight weeks, I prayed in tongues, eating my pot of whatever on the back yard barbecue, filling up a couple of five gallon pails of water to cook, take a bucket bath, water our dogs, and flush the toilet….

And I prayed…

Pray!

Every waking moment, I prayed, read the Bible, and wrote down what the Lord began to show me…

Prophetic Keys to unlock the United States to the move of the Holy Spirit, we all seek, for the solution to America will surely come from the church house, not the White House.

In Ezekial 28, we see the prince of Tyre, and king of Tyre. The prince being the earthly ruler, a man – the king, in this case, being Lucifer himself. I believe that he has set up rulership of the earth, wherever he can, through his hierarchy of demons, that work by ruling the minds and thoughts of people.

I believe that this is what satan showed to Jesus, when he tempted him in Matt 4:

8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

He saw, the actual rule and reign of demonic forces, operating and ruling over the affairs of men.

As I struggled to understand this verse, I saw a picture in minds eye, of an evil puppeteer, superimposed upon a map of the United States of America.

As I prayed, I saw this was a Demon Prince ruling through secret societies, fueled by three main root systems, that allow him access to American soil:

These three root systems are:

Abortion, Racism, and Plight of The North American Indian.

The Founders of this country heard God in framing our constitution, with the First Amendment granting us freedom of speech, and the second, the right to bear arms.

One of the verses our founding fathers used in the formation of this nation is:

Isaiah 33:22Authorized (King James)

22 For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver,
the Lord is our king; he will save us.

Notice here the last four words of this verse: HE WILL SAVE US!

Jesus is not judging America, as some have preached, our ill-conceived policies, historically, have allowed actual demonic forces, legal right in this land.

It is our job to correct these policies, and the fruit of them, through victorious prayer.

national prayer4
There is surely a brutal war currently being fought in the heavenlies for the destiny of this nation, that we are required to win, spiritually, in prayer and authority, and this battle must be fought with spiritual weapons, because bullets will not touch ancient demonic principalities…

It is us, the church of the living God who are called to exercise His authority in the earth.

Ephesians 2:6Authorized (King James)

and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

The nature of God is love. The nature of satan is hate, and he comes to kill, steal, and destroy….

We, warriors of love, are called to this battlefield of victory, or again, demons will glory in rivers of bloodshed across this land…

The First Amendment is greater than the second! It is time for us to pray, and speak His Word in authority, and He will honor our voice with signs following!

The good news, God has shown me clearly what is going on, and has given me a clear battle strategy to mobilize targeted intercession, that will prevail on behalf of this land….

2 Samuel 11
And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle,

This is the topic of the book…Saints, it is time to rise up again to battle, it is time for war….

Using Racial Privilege to Promote the Kingdom of God!

Using Racial Privilege to Promote the Kingdom of God

Using Racial Privilege to Promote the Kingdom of God!

As most of you know, I have believe the three main topics of prayer for the restoration of the United States, are:

1. The plight of the North American Indian (Innocent bloodshed and broken covenants with host peoples)

2. Racism

3. Abortion

abortion
Today, I got to thinking about using racial privilege to promote the kingdom of God.
Where we deliberately seek to promote equality among the races, wherever possible.
You know, the children’s song: ‘Red and yellow, black and white, we are precious in His sight”
How about: Re 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

God gave the different languages, peoples and nations. Somehow, as ministers of reconciliation, we need to bring the culture of heaven, to the cultures and countries of earth, while humbly learning from how God visits each people group in His love, leaving their language, and cultural distinctives intact…Jesus did not come to destroy or replace culture and countries, rather, to redeem them…Yet, the love and culture of heaven, supersedes every earthly culture.

Heaven invades
We have a God given responsibility to love, to overcome evil with good, and to build the kingdom of God, and I believe that as God promotes and prospers us, we must use our position to glorify Jesus, and stop injustice….
Lu 12:48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
Traditionally, we think of white oppression, and other races mistreated, but this is not always the case:

In 1874 Rev. John McIntosh, son of Chilly, went as a Baptist missionary to the wild tribes of the SouthWest (of Oklahoma). He found them very bitter against the white man and determined to continue fighting, but they welcomed him cordially as another Indian, invited him to eat at their teepees, and even listened to their warning about the white man’s strength. He preached to a strange congregation gathered from a great spreading camp in the valley of the Washita. Painted warriors with scalps of white people hanging from their belts, blanketed women with crying babies fastened to their backs all sat on the short prairie grass crisped by the August sun and listened to their first sermon. From that time to this, the Creeks have never ceased their missionary work among the southwestern tribes – Angie Debo “The Road to Disappearance – The History of the Creek Indians”
I saw this video about using white privilege to promote equality, and I like it.

Taking this thought to the next level, let me tell you a story:

Several years ago, when I owned and operated a carpentry company, we had developed an informal policy in our company where we realized that sometimes, people could not afford our services. There were cases of single moms, or seniors, that urgently needed critical work done on their houses, that they honestly had no money to have done. For these special cases, we had placed a white board up on the office wall, and we would write the person’s name upon the board. If we had time and money, or perhaps some materials left over from another job, we would go ahead and schedule these projects into our week, with no charge to the person.
Well, word of this began to leak out, and I was often called by pastors who knew of critical needs in the community, that perhaps I might be able to help out with.
Sometimes I could help, other times we were simply either too busy with paid work, or we we stretched financially, that we simply had nothing to give.
Such is the nature of construction.
Well, I received a call from a previous client, about a story that seemed to be too horrible to be true, but unfortunately, sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction.
When we experienced our ice storm some years ago here in Tulsa, Oklahoma,(2007) many large trees fell, causing much damage to whatever they fell upon.

Tulsa ice storm

In this case, a limb had taken the electric meter off of Mrs. Linda Salter’s home, where her and her husband were living in, in their retirement. Seems that a contractor had rewired the broken meter incorrectly installing it, and her house caught fire in the night, while her and her husband slept. They narrowly escaped the fire with their lives, but they were admitted to the hospital for lung damage from smoke inhalation. Mr. Salter died from this several weeks later, and Mrs. Salter, was paralyzed from the waist down.
When her household insurance paid her for the damage, she employed a contractor to rebuild her house (which had severe damage from the fire), but the contractor took her money, and ran off with it and got drunk, leaving her without a home.
So, I met her and her daughter up there, and I was overwhelmed with the amount of work needing done, and the heartbreak of the situation.

I called up pastor Dean Heath, of Tulsa Dream Center, and God began to work.
Because of our charitable purposes, we had organized a Christian contractors breakfast, that served as both a weekly Bible study, and a practical hiring hall for one of the cities prison reintegration programs, and it was an action packed breakfast each week, where sometimes as many as 50 contractors would attend, to hear God’s Word, and to put guys to work.
It was a good couple of years.
Well, one of the builders in the group, a man named Tim Walterbach, met up there with pastor Dean, and as God would have it, when we met up there, it was pouring rain. To be looking at a widow, in a wheelchair, under an umbrella, under scotched rafters, with rain pouring in, was a sight I will not soon forget.
Tim looked at me with fire in his eyes, and said: “This is insane! We have to do something! Are you in?” looking piercingly at Dean and I. We both said ‘YES!’,  and it was Game ON!

game on

That was early in the week, and our breakfast was Thursday, so we blew up cell phones, and asked every contractor we could to come out that week for a special meeting.
That Thursday, we had a full house over there at Talley’s road house, and for the first time, we actually had a black contractor, and a black reporter from the Eagle, Tulsa’s black newspaper.
I was asked to speak, and it was powerful.
I said to this bunch of rough, hard-working men:
“Well, I am grateful that we actually have a couple of black brothers with us today, and I got to thinking about what we are fixing to do here. I guess I might as well bring up the ‘R’ word, and talk about racism here in our town. Never really noticed that in mid-town, where most of us make our living, that all the wealthy clients seem to employ only white crews, and that we have been making a good living there, simply because we are white. Now, we have been coming over here for awhile, and I know the waitress well enough to think that we could probably get her to bring us a basin, and maybe we need to wash our brother’s feet, as a sign of humility and repentance. Now, that might be a good thing, and we all might tear up a bit, and leave her feeling like we had a good Christian fellowship at breakfast, but I got to thinking a little more about what we are thinking about doing. By now, most of you know the story about Mrs. Salter, how her house burned down, her husband was killed, and a crooked contractor ran off with her insurance money.

Now, if the same thing happened to any of our mothers, there would be no question about what we would do here, we would all pitch in and rebuild her house, and do what we had to do, to make it happen. But Linda is black. She also loves Jesus, and is a mother.
As I have visited with her, I met a young man in her neighborhood, and he made the statement: “White boy, you don’t know how it is here. I got three choices in life: Selling dope, grabbing a pistol and demanding your money, or, sarcastically, ‘Would you like fries with that?”.

Now, Mrs. Salter has two sons, who I happen to know are incarcerated.
Yet, I got to thinking about it, that even were they on the street, because of racism, they might only be making $8-10/hour, while we have been making $35-75/hour in midtown. Even if her sons wanted to rebuild her house, they could not afford it.

economic injustice
Now, we could have a foot washing, but I think if justice is going to be served, we need to rebuild her house, like we would for any of our mothers in this place.
Well, David Anderson, of American Marble and Granite jumped up, and threw over $1000 on the , table, and said” ‘I’m in, here’s a start, and I’ll supply and install all the granite.’
Within 5 mins, we had raised right at $100,000.00 in pledges, of money, materials or labor, to rebuild her house.
Well, then Victory Christian Center got involved! Pastor Dean had let pastor Paul Daugherty know what was going on, and as the work progressed, Ryan Stafford showed up many times with teams of Bible school students, pastor Paul recruited young adults from the 3-D program, and the press got wind of it.
Then Jesus got even more involved. Her house was rebuilt, beautiful crown moldings, granite, wood floors, landscaping, and wheelchair ramps both in the front door, and out the back.
Yet, some of those Bible school students, the IMT’s, gathered around Mrs. Salter one day, and laid hands upon her, and prayed for the Lord to heal her. HE DID! While everyone watched, she got out of her wheelchair, and is walking fine today!

Using racial privilege, to promote the kingdom of God!

Over the years I have seen this dynamic work the opposite way too. A black contractor, had me ride around with him for several weeks to his jobs among his primarily black clientel, and I quickly saw the huge cultural differences between my white upbringing and the black community here. Had I not been with my black brother, no one would have allowed me into their homes, or perhaps I was simply to blind to see the needs before…

The gospel is good news, and perhaps as a black brother or sister you can be the bridge builder, the minister of reconciliation, the ambassador of God’s love and grace to allow white or latino Christians to work in your community, bringing God’s Word, or compassionate aid (food, afterschool programs for children, aid to seniors, etc). Jesus commands us to GO into all the world and bring the good news, sometimes all we are required to do is be a ‘door-opener’ for the kingdom of God!

Like Nike says: Just Do it!

just do it
Let’s Pray:
‘Father, I commit to stand against racism wherever I find it, and to use my position of racial privilege, to aggressively see Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, here, in the earth, in this generation, in Your name Lord Jesus, for Your glory, Amen!”

Today, as I surfed the internet looking for information to stand against the brutal ethnic rifts that currently exist in America, I found a version of ‘The Lords Prayer’ or ‘Our Father’ that was personalized as a prayer against racism. I have edited it, and ask that you would pray it with me:

A Prayer for Racial Reconciliation:

lords prayer

Our Father in heaven, in you all people of the earth find their true identity. You made us all equally in your image, as your children, and therefore as each other’s brother and sisters, as we receive our adoptive rights in Jesus!

Holy be your name and the honor you have bestowed on your united church, above our pride, allegiances, and all other identities and affiliations that tempt us to value ourselves above others and put you second. May our cultures be superseded by the culture of heaven and Your love and glory, may the revelation of the strength of Your covenant towards us through Jesus shed blood, become greater than any other earthly relationship we know.

Your kingdom come into your divided church and this broken world. Transform us into new creations who live in harmony, make righteous judgments, love mercy, and walk humbly with you. Give us eyes to see, ears to hear, hearts that long for your kingdom, and wills to truly seek it first, whatever the cost.

Your will be done on earth, as joyfully and wholeheartedly as it is in heaven. Oh God of the widow and orphan, the poor and distressed, bring forth your justice, for only you can perfectly judge, recompense and reunite this riven family of humanity.

Give us today our daily bread; where we hoard, make us generous; where we claim ownership, teach us to steward humbly; and when we worry, help us to trust you more boldly. Where we steal, help us to stop, and trust You for our provision. Where we have walked as inferiors, may we boldly embrace our callings a shatter man-made limitations or oppressions arrayed against us.

Forgive us our sins of unforgiveness, partiality, prejudice, and racism. Forgive us our bitterness, hatred, murder, cynicism, and judgementalism.

Forgive us the silence when we should speak out and the rash words when we should listen. Forgive us for our blindness regarding the needs and hurts of those you made our family, but whom we may oftentimes treat as enemies. Forgive us for the lies we’ve believed about others in your family. Forgive us for refusing to make right the wrongs and injustices we could address and for refusing to repent of our sin and seek peace. Forgive us for our lack of love. Forgive us for the times we have allowed our pain to lead us into sin and thinking that we are wrestling with flesh and blood instead of principalities and powers.silence 1

Help us forgive those who sin against us. Remind us how much you’ve forgiven us and how warmly and completely you welcome us in Jesus, no matter how deeply we’ve betrayed you. Help us to forgive. Help us to extend grace to those who have harmed and hurt us. Give us your supernatural forgiveness to forgive the unforgiveable. By faith in Your grace, we choose to forgive, no matter what it looks or feels like, trusting You to make wrongs right, for You are Holy and just! As we forgive, may we see You, Almighty Creator of Heaven and Earth, redeeming, restoring, healing, and replacing that which has been stolen, broken, forbidden.

Lead us not into temptations to stonewall, reject or let others suffer when we could stand with them or come to their aid. When we are tempted to avoid, help us to courageously engage. When we are tempted to lash out, help us to gently speak in love. When we are tempted to oppress, help us to humbly trust you for our provision, instead of the wealth our oppression generates.

Deliver us from evil — both from the evil that is within each of us and the forces of spiritual darkness that twist your good design for maximum hurt and harm. Deliver us from the personal evil of individuals and the collective evil of unjust systems and structures. Cause us to deliberately confront, dismantle and destroy evil infrastructures, and to build, in equality, impartial systems that empower rather than enslave people.

For yours is the kingdom in which all nations will one day be healed, all swords melted into plowshares and all tears wiped away for good. It is before you, that we will gather as a great multitude no one can count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before your throne and before the Lamb with palm branches in our hands.

Yours is the power that overcame death and the grave, and that overcomes sin in our hearts and the world.

Yours is the name Lord Jesus, by which we are heard and answered, the name above every name!

And yours is the glory for this coming and yet-to-come redemption and reunification, for ever and ever.

Amen.
