Do You Want To Go To Heaven?

The Gospel

gospel

Dear Friend,

God loves you, and there are five things God wants you to know about Him, and I feel impressed by Him to tell you what they are.

gospel manger

  1. Jesus was born. Babies are born every day, but Jesus is different because although Mary is His earthly mother, God is His heavenly Father. That makes Him different than any other person that has ever walked the earth. Think of it this way, the egg inside of Mary was human, the sperm divine. Theologians call this Immaculate Conception, but to most of us, it is the Christmas story. God became a man in the form of Jesus Christ, Emanuel, God with us. God came to earth and joined humanity, like each of us, as a meek helpless baby. Jesus is not merely the son of God, but God the Son, the second person of the Trinity.

god-the-son

  1. Jesus grew up, he became a man yet without sin. Although the Bible says little about his first thirty years, the baby we celebrate at Christmas did not remain a child, at thirty years of age, He withdrew from humanity and fasted forty days to come back in the power of the Holy Spirit to show the world what a person, walking with the Creator can be. He healed the sick, raised the dead, fed the multitudes, walked on water, stopped storms, and cast evil spirits out of people.
    gospel miracles
He did all of this, without sin. Not one time did He ever break the laws of God or man, that qualified Him as the sinless, spotless, holy, Lamb of God, accepted by God, as the only fit sacrifice, for the sins of humanity. He is still the same and doing the same things today. Yet the day came on earth when He was betrayed, and sentenced by a kangaroo court to death. Religious people had Him murdered.

gospel cross

  1. He died on the cross. Not a pretty death. Deserted by his closest friends. Beaten beyond human recognition. His face pulverized. Weakened so much by blood boss that this formerly strong man could not carry His own cross. The sky turned black as night, the earth split open and dead people came out of the graves to testify. He spoke three words that still echo throughout eternity, “It is finished” The veil in the temple, was torn from top to bottom, signifying that the separation between God and humanity was now ended. God could again visit with the people He created even as He walked with Adam in the garden of Eden. Jesus bore the sin of the whole world upon Himself on the cross, an infinite sacrifice, for an infinite debt. Atonement!

gospel rose

  1. He rose from the dead. You know, the Easter story. HIS story. Not the tooth fairy, Lord of the Rings, or the Easter bunny. Though they laid the body of Jesus in a tomb for three days, His spirit was not there. He went through paradise, He went to hell, yet on the third day, His spirit rejoined His body, and He rose. The stone was rolled away, and He ascended into heaven. For the next fifty days He appeared to over five hundred eyewitnesses, and then while five hundred watched, two angels appeared, and He ascended bodily back into heaven. Many educated moral instructors have lived: Buddha, Mohammed, Gandhi, Plato, and others, yet each of these died, and their body remains in their tomb today. Jesus rose from the dead.

gospel ascended

  1. He reigns. He is Lord of heaven and earth. God is the spirit, seeking those who will worship Him in spirit and truth. There is only one true God, maker of heaven and earth, yet He has revealed Himself throughout His Word in three separate and distinct persons. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the Son of God, birthed of His Spirit. When He ascended back into heaven, God sat Him at His right hand where He reigns the universe.

gospel reigns

In short:

He came, He lived, He died, He rose and He reigns.

creator1

Now the problem of Creation must be addressed. You and I. Each and every one of us have been created in the image of God. We are also spirits, we have a soul, and we live in a body. Jesus did not come to make bad people good, or good people better, He came to make dead people ALIVE! Except a man be born-again, he cannot even see the kingdom of God. God loves you personally and wants you to know Him on His terms. Religion has always been man’s set of rules and regulations attempting to reach God, Jesus is God’s attempt to reach man. He died for you, not because He had to, but because He loves you. Yet, He did not create robots, each of us has a free will. The question He would have me ask you is this: Do you want Him to be your king? Do you want to go to heaven when you die, to be with Him? If you do, the Bible makes this promise to each of us,

‘If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Rom 10:9,10’

salvation

Here’s what each of us need to do to come to God on His terms.

  • We must acknowledge Jesus as our personal Lord. That is, in light of this great love He has demonstrated towards us, we must make a decision as to whether of not we will choose to allow Him to rule over us.
  • We must believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead.
  • We must confess, out loud to Him that we want Him.

Here’s a simple prayer.

 Lets pray

‘God, I want to know you. I want you to be in charge of my life. I accept you Lord Jesus as my Lord. Forgive me Lord for all the things I have done against you. I believe, Father that you raised Jesus from the dead, and I ask you to come into my life and make me the best person I can possibly be. Amen.

Now, that prayer will get you right with God, today. But what about tomorrow? Each day we need to grow spiritually, in our relationship with Him. That will involve talking to Him about your day, and involving Him in your day-to-day decisions. How do you do that? Well, begin to read your Bible, every day, first thing. Seek Him first thing, and He will add everything else you need to your life. When you see something in the Bible that is new to you, do what it says.

read-bible

That’s where we come in. Eventually, you are going to need a good church. A place of love, friendship, and fellowship, where we can worship God and work together to make this world a better place. Any Bible-believing church would love to meet you and to hear about your new decision to serve God. There are many fine churches all over the world. Shop for one that believes the Bible to be the Word of God, and where you have peace.

For many years, we attended Victory Christian Center here in Tulsa at victory.com. Great church that will help you grow in your walk with God!

Presently, we attend Rivergate Church here on 71st st in Tulsa, just East of Riverside, under the wonderful leadership of pastors Joel and Linda Budd. The kingdom is alive and active, and we need to serve God someplace, and here, there are wonderful miracles every time we meet. God is passionatly at work among us, and it is exciting to see what He will do next.

Each day, I post a blog on here, on one of the many topics relevant to the kingdom of God. The purpose of this is to encourage you to read your Bible every day, and to pray and seek first our heavenly Father and His kingdom. I would encourage you to subscribe and read along.- https://chrisaomministries.com/2016/08/06/the-purpose-of-this-blog/

Why Go to Church? There is a reason!

My three thoughts on why I need to go to church are: God commands it. Be the church It should be a place to serve, give, worship, and meet with Jesus! God Commands it:   So, the first reason we should attend a local church is found here:Well, the first commandment in the Bible, is […]

why

My three thoughts on why I need to go to church are:

  1. God commands it.
  2.  We need to Be the church
  3. It should be a place to serve, give, worship, and meet with Jesus!

    God Commands it:

  1. So, the first reason we should attend a local church is found here:Well, the first commandment in the Bible, is to love God with all of our hearts, minds, souls and strength. Jesus said, that if we love Him, we will obey His commandments.

Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Novel concept this: we go to church, simply because God commands it!

Read this quote, and it seems appropriate here:

I often visit newcomers in town and find them to be church shopping. They want to know what they can get out of church. Churches are one more consumer commodity. Worship services are not a place for us to serve God and neighbor but a place where people expect to purchase the best: Inspiring worship, good music, moving sermons, quality child care. As if we buy God and not vice versa. “

Arthur Boers in The Other Side, May/June, 1989
Doesn’t mean we always like it, just like when I am instructing a child on a new level of responsibility, and they do not like to do dishes, clean their room, or homework, it is good for them, and I am instructing them because I love them, and want them to be a responsible adult. (I would never want their future spouses to arrive at my door some day, and say: “Why did you not raise your child better? Living with them is incredibly difficult!”)

So, there may be seasons in the house of the Lord, where we do not particularly like attending our local place of worship, as seasons of our life in Jesus change, but it is the faithful man that abounds with God’s blessing. Sometimes the best we can hope for is to be faithful…

[ The Joy of Going to the House of the Lord ] [ A Song of Ascents. Of David. ] I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the Lord.”glad

2.    Be the Church

why be Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it

Acts 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

1 Corinthians 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

Definition of a local church:

  1. Purpose is the public worship of God, edification of the saints, and spread of the gospel.

    2. Organization: planned meetings (Acts 20:7), a.corporate discipline (I Cor. 5), b. money raising projects (II Cor. 8-9), c. recognized leaders such as pastor, elders, deacons (Heb. 13:7, 17).

    3.ordinances practiced.

R. Lightner in Truth for the Good Life, p. 115-6

I used to think, that because I hold one of these gifts, that I needed to use it in the local church, yet I see that there are other battlefields Jesus has called me to, outside of the church walls. I attend my local church, but I am not called presently to serve there, as I am often travelling, writing, or creating something out of nothing, as Holy Spirit speaks and flows through me. Yet, everything I do, is to build the kingdom of God, and strong local churches wherever possible.

As I said, I hold a five-fold ministry gift, as described in Eph 4, but there are things that come through the office of my pastor, that God has given to him, not to me, and for the blessing and protection of my family, I need to allow him to fulfill his job in the kingdom, while I am doing exploits in my arena.

Generally though, you will find your place of purpose and service, in the local church, before God sends you out….

And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?

Knowing and flowing in your particular gift and calling is critical to finding peace with God and people, but there comes a point where we grow in our local church to the point where we attend to give, not merely to receive.

Colossians 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

Those who are planted in the house of the Lord Shall flourish in the courts of our God.
flourish

It is all about Jesus, He is Lord, Head of the church, and whatever He says, do it, no matter what your particular denomination or local assembly may say about it. If He truly speaks, what He says will be Biblical, though people may think you are out of your mind, going half way across the world to feed the poor, preach the gospel, or perform some Biblical act of love and kindness, you may not be out of your mind, just out of theirs! We have the mind of Christ! why gym 1 Timothy 3:15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth

3. Church should be a place to worship, serve, give, fellowship, pray and build a vision far greater than any one of us could build individually!

One of the ways we worship God is serving the people that He loves.

This is such an important truth, I wrote an entire blog article on it: https://chrisaomministries.com/2017/01/15/we-worship-by-serving-the-people-god-loves/

See here, the Final Judgment of God, no appeals, no lawyers in each of our lives, the final court case. Matt 25:31 ¶ When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32  And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33  And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34  Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35  For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36  Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37  Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38  When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39  Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40  And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. 41  Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 42  For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43  I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. 44  Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45  Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 46  And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

One of the ways we worship God is serving the people that He loves. why left   Notice in this portion of Scripture, that Jesus says that one of the ways we will be accountable to God, eternally, is in our treatment of the poor and less fortunate in our midst. Saying we care, will not get us past this verse.

No, to obey it requires action, and these actions constitute worship acceptable to God. Here’s another James 1: 27  Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. Want to walk pure before God?

Here’s something you can do that He will accept. Visit some single mom, and help out there, then stay clean before God. Love her children, help her with her responsibilities, then make sure you remain free from all of the games and sin that would try to drag you into the mess there. You are to be an agent of change there, for good, and God’s glory, not part of the problem.

Of course, people living and serving Jesus together in the love of God, make a fun place to hang out: why serve Acts 2:42 42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. 44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, 45 and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.

46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,

Christian community, experienced in the love and power of God, is a wonder to behold. Life can be hard, but as we lovingly help each other through life’s challenges, it can be very rewarding and fulfilling – full of vision and purpose.

2 Corinthians 8:4 Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin

Serving Jesus should be a joyful experience, not a burden, but an eternal blessing. One third of the kingdom of God is joy, so let us say with the psalmist:

Psalm 122 [Full Chapter] I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord. Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem. Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together: God really is good, and Jesus really does love you!

Deuteronomy 28:47 Because thou servedst not the Lord thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things; why glad Seeking first Jesus, and aligning our lives with His Word, will produce the abundance of all things…

Here’s a great quote:

Yet membership in a confessing body is fundamental to the faithful Christian life. Failure to do so defies the explicit warning not to forsake “our assembling together.” His understanding of this prompted Martin Luther to say, “Apart from the church, salvation is impossible.” Not that the church provides salvation; God does. But because the “saved” one can’t fulfill what it means to be a Christian apart from the church, membership becomes the indispensable mark of salvation. “So highly does the Lord esteem the communion of His church,” Calvin wrote,” that He considers everyone a traitor and apostate from religion who perversely withdraws himself from any Christian society which preserves the true ministry of the word and sacraments. Charles W. Colson, The Body, 1992, Word Publishing, p. 70.

just do it

Like Nike says: Just Do it!

Let’s pray: Father God, I choose to attend church, to worship You, to serve Your people, to give unto You, and to hear a living Word of power from Your throne. Show me where to become plugged into Your Body Lord Jesus, Amen;

14 But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. 15 Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.

There is peace in Jesus, and Jesus alone – and there is a place of contentment in Him, that nothing on earth can satisfy.

No earthly relationship, no movie, entertainment, sport, or activity will scratch that deeper itch down inside. Jesus alone can do that. Problem is, sometimes we need to slow down to speed up. It takes time to get quiet and alone with him, and allow Him to sooth our savage hearts, and to fill every creak and crevice in the deep places in our soul. From this place of rest, there is direction, purpose, power, and true fulfilment – for He is a wonderful Lord!

Feel like your life is on a treadmill? Running hard but going no where?

Try doing it Jesus way, seeking Him first each day, doing a yearly Bible reading plan, and actually making progress on your God given purpose, dreams and destiny.

Let’s Pray:

“Jesus, I need you, now! Prince of Peace, meet with me, in my passion, frustration, and selfish ambition. May I rest in Your leading, free from the tyranny of my own inner drives, and the expectations of others, rule and overrule me Lord, and bring again to me, your person, presence, intimacy, and peace. Amen”

When my friend, Robert Shaeffer asked me to join a Facebook group for the cast of the church play, I asked: ‘What is Facebook?’

I had no idea of the power of Social Media, to stay connected with friends, family, and ministers around the world. Over the years, what began as a fun hobby, has developed into an international ministry, that is growing daily, as I bathe it in prayer, and stay faithful to what God has called me to do. This is the direction I believe I am to follow on this page.

seekOne1

0. To encourage us to seek first God, through Jesus, every morning, and through-out our day in everything. If you don’t yet know Him, or have wandered away somehow, please read this: https://chrisaomministries.wordpress.com/2014/11/10/the-gospel-the-power-of-god/

bible4png

1. To encourage us to read through the Bible together every year. I currently use oneyearbibleonline.com.

manhood grow

2. To encourage my friends in the things of the kingdom of God, by posting quips, quotes, and devotional materials to encourage us to actually believe what we are reading that day, and to apply it to our lives through action, and prayer.

godly-leadership

3. To encourage five fold ministry to keep on keeping on, faithfully in the call God has placed upon your lives.

IVBI

4. To facilitate, wherever possible the pioneering of Bible Schools, to raise up train and equip leaders in their country in the Word of God. I do this by simply referring people to Victory Christian Center in Tulsa, OK. Presently, Victory has established over 1800 International Bible schools in 100 countries, that graduate 27,000 students each year. This number is growing monthly, with a vision to host 10,000 schools! The curriculum has been filmed and is available in video format in many languages, and translators are currently working on getting it translated into many more. The IVBI program is an incredible force for Jesus in the earth!

If you are willing to host a Bible school, please read this article: https://chrisaomministries.wordpress.com/why-should-i-start-a-bible-school/

Or simply contact Victory directly: https://www.victory.com/outreach/ivbi

5. To field prayer requests. God is a good God, and satan is a bad devil. Hard things sometimes happen to good people. Jesus is the answer, never the problem. Daily, people inbox me prayer requests, and I spend the first several hours of my day, seeking first the kingdom of God, and believing for God’s best, each day for all of my friends on Social Media.

need-prayer

Prayer Requests: If you or your family need specific prayer for anything, please send us a prayer request. We as a family will pray for you today, and if you would, please let us know the wonderful ways God answers. This is a great encouragement to us.

6. To raise awareness and support for charitable purposes. We take many missions trips as a family, and these cost money. We also support an orphanage in Karimnager, India that urgently needs everything. $50 there goes a long way to simply feeding and clothing the 10 children currently living in a tin shed, and I cannot claim to love Jesus, and do nothing for orphans and the suffering in our midst.

Empty Enemies

Empty Enemies

tolstoy
1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

And so we see the enemies of God: This worldly impersonal organized system devoid of love and life – the world, the Bible calls it.

Organizational structures that are sterile, void of care, concern, compassion, yet strong enough to endure generations. This is why we know the letter of the law kills, it is the spirit that brings life. If we build these empires, organizationally and administratively clean, yet without care and concern for the people these structures are supposed to serve and help, the very people we create these to serve, become crushed beneath their weight, the tyranny of unfulfilled expectations, that places people on a treadmill like a hamster: ever running, but going nowhere, making no difference, living and dying as fuel for the machine, blind to the rule of the one behind it, the god of this world, satan himself. The Nazi’s had order – just no love, nor life in their system.
lifeless
Then there is the lust of the flesh: The savage passions for promotion, power, possessions, people, places and things, that can never be satisfied. Fallen flesh, that is ever hungry for more. More what? More money, more food, more power, more sex, more entertainment, more friends, more stuff, more knowledge. Always hungry, never satisfied: lust. No matter how much you feed it, it leaves a painful empty ache each time you indulge it, because you know that you fed the wrong thing, and your true hunger, for God, for intimacy, for purpose, for passion, for peace, for honor, for love, for holiness, was never met, no matter how much you indulge carnal appetites.
carnal-wigglesworth
Is 55;1 ¶ Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

There is that which will fulfill our deepest thirsts! Come to Jesus!
thirsty-man

Then there is the pride of life: Look at me, look what I can do, look at my house, my status, my company, my associations with the right people. Beautiful wife, beautiful life, empty, void of life. Spending time and money to impress people who neither understand nor care about you, or who you really are, For what?
pride-world
Satan was Lucifer, the chief worship leader in heaven, closest to the throne before he fell. Why? He became proud. Those who are blinded by him, become like him – proud, selfish, screaming for entitlement, power and control. Love serves….

Joh 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Have you discovered the emptiness of life yet? Have you run hard enough on your little treadmill of work, relationships, activities, pleasures that leave you dry, weary, poured out and cored out – a hollow shell of who you are created to be? It may take some time to learn how to feed on that which truly does satisfy – to begin to feast on bread of life and things of eternal glory, but is is worth obeying that deeper nudge…that itch that has never been scratched by worldy pursuits, for you are created for much more than this world can offer. He created the universe – and is the only One big enough to fully satisfy and understand the complexity that is you!

It is Jesus who alone can satisfy the thirst and deepest hungers in your heart. Let all these enemies of God and you, die, slain at the cross, that you, like Jesus, might experience the resurrection life, found only in Him.

He is more than enough…

It has been said: ‘When the student is ready, the teacher appears…’ Are you ready yet? He is waiting, still, with loving heart, and open arms. He knows, He cares, and He waits, until you are ready to receive Him…

Let’s pray:
‘Father, I see the tyranny of the world: The hardness, the severe toughness, of the daily rough and tumble of the world. It has left a coldness, hardness, and meanness deep within my soul. How well, I know see the foolishness of my own passionate pursuits, that have left me empty, dry, hungry for what truly satisfies. So I have fallen into the comparison trap, the competitive need to impress people I barely know, nor care about. My own self will, determined to do my own will, against you. Forgive me Father, and have mercy. Meet with me, and show me why I exist, Your highest and best for me and my life. Fill me with Your Spirit, for I hunger deep inside, and nothing satisfies me…help me Jesus. Amen’

Mining for Gold!

Mining for Gold!
bull dozing
I have an uncle in Northern Canada (Whitehorse, Yukon) that is a heavy equipment mechanic, and a gold miner in the summer. From what I understand, over the past couple of hundred years, prospectors have panned most of the creeks to retrieve nuggets and easily recovered gold deposits, but there is still much gold in the north. In order to retrieve it though, one must move tons of earth, and run it through huge sluice boxes, that separate the dirt from the gold. Since the price of gold is so high currently, it is worth the time to fly bulldozers and earth-moving equipment, deep into the bush, to carve into the gold rich soils. Fortunes have been made in doing this.

Well, I am mining a different type of gold, the more precious gold of spiritual revelation and truth, eternal in its worth and consequence.

and I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.

Recently, I saw a Bibliography in the back of one of the ‘Go get em’ motivational business books I had just read, and I decided to photocopy it, and to deliberately read these books, at a rate of two per week. Compared to study of the Word of God, I find them light reading, and I have been able to blaze through many of these books, quickly.

What I am looking for, is revelation, truth, principals of motivation, leadership, and success that are applicable to raising up the strong end time Christian ministries, I am called to develop.

As I was reading a classic entitled: ‘As a Man Thinketh, by James Allen’, I came across the following excerpt that jumped out at me, and I hope it blesses you:

All that a man achieves or all that he fails to achieve is a result of his own thoughts. In a justly ordered universe, where loss of equipose would mean total destruction, individual responsibility must be absolute. A man’s weakness and strength, purity and impurity, are his own, and not another man’s: they are brought about by himself, never by another. His condition is also his own, and not another man’s. His suffering and his happiness are evolved from within. As he thinks, so he is; as he continues to think, so he remains.
A strong man cannot help a weaker unless the weaker is willing to be helped, and even then the weak man must become strong of himself; he must, by his own efforts, develop the strength which he admires in another. None but himself, can alter his condition. Pages 45,46.

As I thought about this, I had several Scriptures flash across my mind, for your consideration and meditation:

Pr 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:

doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

De 31:6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Isa 35:4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

Joe 3:10 Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.

Ro 15:1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

1Co 9:22 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

2Co 13:9 For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection.

individual responsibility

As I read an article entitled ‘Individual Responsibility before God” I read:

“The practical outcome of this for Christians everywhere was twofold: on the one hand, they were freed from the tyranny, superstition, and oppression of Rome; but on the other hand, with freedom came individual responsibility before God. No longer could the individual Christian rely simply on his membership in the physical organization of a church for the salvation of his soul; to a large degree, it now devolved upon him. Salvation was not something one was physically born into because one’s parents were Christian or because one had received “infant baptism” and made a member of the church before he could even understand what he was doing; but salvation was something spiritual which one had to enter into as the result of a conscience decision he alone had made.
“No longer could anyone else decide this matter for the individual – not one’s mother or father; not one’s priest or bishop; not one’s pastor or elder – it was an individual decision for which the individual alone was responsible. From this point on, no human intermediary could stand between God and man: man now stood naked and alone before his Maker. The frightening words of the Apostle Paul loomed heavily over his head: “Wherefore, my beloved … work out your own salvation with fear and trembling!” (Phil. 2:12)

“Heaven or Hell? – it was his choice! Remaining an “infant in the Lord” or growing up into full Christian maturity? – it was his choice. Being obedient or disobedient? – it was his choice!

“The church could assist by providing the Christian with a nurturing and Biblically-based environment which was conducive to growth in the Spirit; and other Christians could help in their fellowship and friendships – but even here, the individual had to make a conscience decision to avail himself of these “helps.” There was no way other Christians and/or the church could force themselves on the individual and decide for him. In the end, he alone was responsible, and he alone would have to answer for his decisions.”

This thought is why Paul had us ‘press towards the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
press run
Jas 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

2 Tim 2:19 ¶ Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.
stand for right
Each of us, will stand before God, alone, to give an account of our lives, personally. Not only for what we did, but I am convinced also, for what we should have done, had we fully obeyed Jesus in our generation.

As I read through these ‘Go get em’ motivational books, I find a blend of Biblical principals (which always bring true success), and humanism, where it seems as if the works of men, will add to the power of God.

While it is true, that works of faith, performed in obedience to the Holy Spirit, will produce tremendous results in both this world and the next, works of man, done according to Biblical principals, may allow a person to amass great wealth in this life, but without eternal reward. God honored His Word in the person’s life, yet the man may or may not have done with the fruits of his labor what God intended, hoarding up for himself the blessings of God, without concern for the gospel, and the needs of humanity. The blessings remain temporal, rather than eternal, and are no indication of that mans true state before a holy God…

So, I exhort you:
Matt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

seek

I believe, that in this hour, the regular schedule and business of life will not suffice.

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

‘God is calling a people to Himself, and is wanting to be sought out, for His plans, purposes and pursuits in this generation.’ quote from Kenneth E. Hagin
leading of Holy SPirit

I exhort you to deliberately carve time out of your busy schedule, even if it means skipping a couple hours of sleep each morning, to spend time in the Word, in prayer, in praying in other tongues, in worship, seeking His face, until He speaks to you specifically and clearly about your particular giftings and callings. Your appointment in this life…

1Th 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Let’s pray:
‘Father, help me to discipline myself to deliberately seek you, in prayer, praise and Your Word, daily. Speak to me today, and correct me, and redirect me, where I have gone astray. Meet with me Pappa God, and meet the deepest hungers in my heart with your love and truth that makes me free, as I honor and serve You Lord Jesus, free indeed! Amen!’

The Purpose of this Blog

The purpose of this Blog:
sharing-faith

Presently, Victory has established over 1600 International Bible schools in 100 countries, that graduate 27,000 students each year.

I am a missionary, called to take the good news of Jesus to the nations of the world. Presently, I study in seminary at Oral Roberts University.

As I have thought about the ministries above:

If you need a great home church please consider Rhema, Victory, or IHOP, or if you like a tiny church, come to the one I attend: Harvest Family Church (AG)

If you are called to ministry please consider attending Bible college at: Victory Bible College, or Rhema (where I and my wife graduated!)

If you are considering a university, please contact Oral Roberts University, or Regent, places that include Jesus in all their studies.

Keep Smiling!

Jesus is Lord!

Tired of Spinning your wheels?

spinning
Every felt like a hamster on a treadmill, spinning your wheels, running hard, but going nowhere in God. Another day, another dollar, and the weeks turn into months, years, and suddenly you wake up really tired, looking back on a season of your life where you worked hard, but seems like you went no where?
hamster

Ah, that bone-weary, poured out, cored out hollowness, where you wake up tired, and with resignation, put one foot in front of another, to make it through another day…How well I know that reality…

If you want a change, you gotta make a change, and here are two changes you must make, if you want to see anything of eternal consequence accomplished with your life.

1. Establish your morning prayer watch before the Lord – Seek ye FIRST is still in the book.
obey seek first

2. Learn to be led by Holy Spirit, and to OBEY Him, implicitly. Admittedly, this is more art, than engineering, for Jesus desires relationship, daily. He really does love us, and promises us life, love and joy in the journey.
Spirit led1

Sometimes, you gotta slow down to speed up…

Here are some articles I wrote on actually hearing the voice of God. The articles themselves are well written and researched, but mean nothing, unless YOU actually meet with Jesus as you read them.

When you do, you step outta the box, off the treadmill, and start living the life you were born to live, making headlines in heaven, creating eternal impact – IN THIS LIFE!

In this you will discover eternal purpose, and regain your passion for life again, for Jesus clearly promises LIFE, and life more abundantly.

If you do not know Him yet, or have quietly walked away, remember why He came:

Then, I wrote these articles, and different Biblical ways that God actually speaks to us:

I am praying for you, now let’s pray together!

Lets pray

‘Father God, please speak to me today, and show me your highest and best for my life. Show me the steps I need to begin to take to get there, and give me the courage and strength to begin to take them. Help me to lay aside distractions and time wasters, to carve out time for You, Your Word, Your kingdom, and the fulness of Your purpose. I ask, knowing I am heard and answered, for I ask in Your name Lord Jesus. Amen’
