Thoughts Words and Deliberate Deeds!

Thoughts Words and Deliberate Deeds!

Thoughts Words and Deeds

Thoughts:
2Co 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Ro 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

thoughts

We work on getting our minds transformed by the Word of God, and we constantly, in this fight of faith, must take our thoughts captive to the Word of God. We resist, rebuke, and stand against thoughts that appear contrary to the Word of God, and in a general sense, this we must do, in order to live a holy life, in thought, and in purity of heart.

pure blessed

Our heart of hearts, our human spirit, the place where Jesus lives when we received us, only has three gates: Our eye gate, ear gate, and mouth gate.

To walk in holiness and purity, we must guard what we look at, hear, and speak.

worthless

Yet, sometimes, we move according to the Word of God, assuming we know to do right, and discover troubling Scriptures, one’s that allow the living God, breathing room.

Imagine the distress of Joseph, engaged to married to Mary, the mother of Jesus, and then to discover her to be pregnant!

He loves her, and the law would have her stoned for her unfaithfulness, yet he decides, to simply break the engagement, and to put her away quietly.

Outwardly, I would agree with his decision, yet God speaks to hearts..We know the story:

Mt 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

His godly principals got rocked by the voice of the Creator of the universe!

We think godly thoughts, for this we are commanded to do:

Is 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
thoughts world

Yet, while Joseph was fighting his internal battle of decision, he was interrupted by the higher thoughts of God:
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Moral of the story: It is good to be a man of principal, a godly man, but when God Himself speaks, it is better to be a man of God!

The same thing goes with words:

Jesus taught us: Mt 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Jas 3:2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.

So we need to watch our words, to grow in maturity…

words heart
Then, there are our deeds:
Jas 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
Jas 1:23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
mirror
The primary work of faith is words, yet God expects us to do something with what we believe. We need to act upon what we believe, and what these corresponding actions need to be, to manifest and demonstrate our faith, boil down to this:

Whatever He says: ‘DO IT!’.

Seems this phrase has become my battle cry these past couple of years, as daily, I seek His face, His voice, for clear direction in this calling and mandate upon my life. You do too.

bread
Quickly, as you sell out to Jesus, you discover, that Mt 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

It is a spirit led lifestyle that pleases God, a living relationship with a living God, not merely a religious exercise.

Jesus was our example, He only did the will of our heavenly Father: We can too!

In general, we carefully guard our thoughts, our words, and our lifestyle, walking and ever moving forward in faith in sometimes nothing else than His written Word.

no lie
Yet there are times, we face impossibilities, and if we are honest, we do not know what to do.

We ask Him for wisdom, and His way to be revealed, but if we don’t know, we don’t know.

Spiritual intelligence in leadership is in this verse:

1Co 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.,
We know in part, and prophesy in part…

Let’s pray:
‘Lord Jesus, You are my Lord, my Shepherd, my pastor. May I be faithful to think right, speak right, and act right before You today. For the brutal, or unknown circumstances of my life, may I have the courage to wait, and hear, what You would reveal I must do, in light of what Your reveal. May I ever hear Your voice, and whatever you say, may I instantly obey, in your name I pray Lord Jesus, Amen’

Jesus on Halloween

Jesus on Halloween

This Halloween, find Jesus!

Mark 1: 1 The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah,[a] the Son of God,[b] 2 as it is written in Isaiah the prophet:
“I will send my messenger ahead of you,
who will prepare your way”[c]—
3 “a voice of one calling in the wilderness,
‘Prepare the way for the Lord,
make straight paths for him.’”[d]

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, no man can come to the Father, apart from Him. John 14:6

How do I handle Halloween?

Simple, I keep presenting Jesus, that people might choose Him, and Heaven, and avoid hell. There is no other way…
seek lost
The Scripture says that the way of eternal life, salvation, is simple, and plain:

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 ¶ For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

call
You simply believe Jesus died for your sin, was raised from the dead, and if you should simply call upon His name, you will be saved.

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

The question then is, is Jesus your Lord?

Much of what we do with our time, is temporal, some of it needful, to make a living for ourselves, in this life.

Yet, there is an appointment we will all keep, some sooner, some later, with God.

We will die.

Then what?

We will come face to face with what we spent our lives on in this life. Without Jesus, we will depart into a place called hell, a place of everlasting torment.

With Him, there are only two scenarios: For those who accepted Him, yet did not live for Him, who, because of the great love and mercy of our Lord, will make heaven, with no reward.

Yet, there are those of us, actively pursuing the things of God, and doing everything in our power, to live for Jesus, and to build His kingdom.
seek
1Ti 6:19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

As a minister has said, we can only do three things with our life: We can waste it, We can spend it, or we can invest it in eternity.

This is true. Wasteful living in alcohol, immorality, and pursuit of vain and worldly pleasures, can cost us eternal life, if we reject Jesus.

Yet, the majority of people spend their lives, working, investing, and building a better life for themselves, only to discover, that we cannot take it with us.

Then, there are the third group of people, that invest their lives, in light of eternity and who enter glory, to the applause of the great cloud of witnesses, into eternal rank, privilege and reward.

Which one are you? What are you living for?

Today, I’m asking that you join me in this great adventure of faith.

FAITH = Fantastic Adventures In Trusting Him.

Living large, in light of eternity.

Today, I am asking you to not only accept Jesus as your Savior, but to do what I have done, bow your knee, to His Lordship. To give Him all of your life, to consecrate everything you are, have, or hope to be, to Him. Then, He will speak to you, and like the mother of Jesus spoke in her immortal words, so many years ago:

Joh 2:5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

Let’s Pray:
‘Father, today is Halloween in the world, the day the devil and his disciples rejoice, and attempt to work evil in the earth. You are Almighty God, Creator of Heaven and earth, and Jesus, you are Lord. Today, I give you my heart, my life, my future, and all that I am, or would become. I trust you to speak to me, and show me my next assignment, today. Amen’

Jer 22:29 O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD.

Jer 22:29 O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD.

Replenish!
More on the word: REPLENISH… Genesis 1:28, “And God BLESSED them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and REPLENISH the earth… Webster’s 1828 Dictionary defines REPLENISH as, (1) to stock with abundance, (2) to finish; to complete, (3) to recover former fullness… Jesus said in John 10:10, He has come that THEY (referring to those who HEAR, and ENTER in through Jesus, and walk in THE BLESSING), might HAVE LIFE (zoe – the God-kind of life, the abundant life), and HAVE it (this life) MORE ABUNDANTLY! The Amplified says, “I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the FULL, till it overflows).” Again, we read in Isaiah 45:18, that God didn’t create the earth in vain (He had a purpose), but formed it to be inhabited… Another translation says, “(God) made a world where people can live, instead of creating an EMPTY DESERT.” No, God didn’t create an EMPTY DESERT! Genesis 2 says He PLANTED a GARDEN… and He EMPOWERED you with this BLESSING to FILL this world with the Garden of Eden!
The earth, the creation, is waiting for you!
Jer 22:29 O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD.
Rom 1: 19 This is because what is known about God should be plain to them because God made it plain to them. 20 Ever since the creation of the world, God’s invisible qualities—God’s eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, because they are understood through the things God has made.
There have always been two books written about God, the creator. The Bible of course, and the creation. Though the creation has been damaged by sin, and the fall of man and devils:
Rom 8:19 (Common English version) The whole creation waits breathless with anticipation for the revelation of God’s sons and daughters. 20 Creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice—it was the choice of the one who subjected it—but in the hope 21 that the creation itself will be set free from slavery to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of God’s children. 22 We know that the whole creation is groaning together and suffering labor pains up until now. 23 And it’s not only the creation. We ourselves who have the Spirit as the first crop of the harvest also groan inside as we wait to be adopted and for our bodies to be set free.
The earth, the creation, is waiting for you, in this generation, to rise up in redemption, in mercy, in authority, in boldness, declaring the Word of God to it! When you do, amazing things occur,
Isaiah 51:3
The LORD will comfort Zion; he will comfort all her ruins. He will make her desert like Eden and her wilderness like the LORD’s garden. Happiness and joy will be found in her— thanks and the sound of singing.

Ezekiel 36:35
They will say, “This land, which was a desolation, has become like the garden of Eden.” And the cities that were ruined, ravaged, and razed are now fortified and inhabited.

This is redemption! This is what the covenant blessing of God will do through you, as you serve Jesus, in this generation. You have the power of Almighty God, to heal the land!
Let’s pray:
‘Father, teach me how to heal, replenish, subdue, recreate, and bless the earth, and to literally recreate Eden, wherever you place me, in Your name I pray Lord Jesus, Amen!’

God still speaks, through His Word!

God still speaks, through His Word!

The Word of God shall talk with thee!
Pro 6:22 When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.
Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
The wonderful thing about the Word of God is that it is alive! The reason it is alive, is because the Holy Spirit is the one who breathed upon pen (inspired) them, to write exactly what He said. Since God is omniscient, and omnipresent, He is literally here, every time we open the book. Time, to Him is simply like a parade. He can see the beginning from the end from His throne in eternity, and can enter the parade whenever, or wherever He pleases. When He shows up, He is always, ‘I Am’, our ever present help in time of need. One writer stated that the Bible is the only book ever written, where the author is always present when we read it.
Things can look fine according to outward appearances, but He looks much deeper within, into not only what we are doing, but rather why. When our why’s don’t agree with His why’s, He can gently instruct, correct, counsel, and refine us, so that we become more like Him in our thinking, and very motives!
Every day, I take time to meditate upon the Word of God. There are different ways I do this, but my favorite, by far, is to simply lay down with the audio Bible playing, simply asking Holy Spirit to speak to me, each time. Faithfully, for years, He has, and does!
Let the Word of God talk with thee today!
Let’s Pray:
‘Father, I am ever looking towards heaven and your will for my life. Speak to me, the specifics that You have for me, today. Not only what I need to be doing, but my reasons for doing it, in Your name I pray Lord Jesus, Amen’
