REAP! It’s your responsibility!

Reap! The Parable of the Growing Seed Mark 4:26 And He said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, 27 and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how. 28 For the earth yields crops by itself: […]

Reap!

The Parable of the Growing Seed

Mark 4:26 And He said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, 27 and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how. 28 For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head. 29 But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”

Notice here, that the person who plants the seed, is responsible to REAP their harvest.

The Workers Are Few

Harvest1

35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Luke 10:He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.

John 4:35

Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.

36 Even now the one who reaps draws a wage and harvests a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together.

Reap (reep)

verb (used with object)

  1. to cut (wheat, rye, etc.) with a sickle or other implement or a machine, as in harvest.
  2. to gather or take (a crop, harvest, etc.).
  3. to get as a return, recompense, or result:

Notice here that Reap is used as a verb. Verbs are action words. We need to be working, doing, moving, putting action to our crops and fields of endeavor.

We sow our finances, our effort, our time, our talent, our prayer, the word, and our faith, all for one thing: The Harvest.

harvest

The earth will produce, but we must reap it’s rewards.

We do this through:

  1. Work, never heard of a harvest that did not require work to get into the barn.
  2. Faith, we need God to supply the weather, health, wisdom to get it done.
  3. Diligence, we must stay faithful to finish what we start.

Let’s Pray:

‘Father God, please give us strength, wisdom, diligence and courage, to continue to work faithfully in Your Kingdom, in only the fields of endeavour You have called us to. We aks, knowing we are heard, for we ask in Your name Lord Jesus, Amen.’

Give in faith!

1 Corinthians 9:11 If we have sown [the seed of] spiritual good among you, [is it too] much if we reap from your material benefits?

1 Corinthians 9:14 [On the same principle] the Lord directed that those who publish the good news (the Gospel) should live (get their maintenance) by the Gospel.

Paul goes on to say, that he did not use his position as a minister of the gospel to take up offerings, rather he worked, making tents, to support himself. You might notice here, that Paul was not married, nor did he have children. Family responsibilities take time, and just as you bust a move on your job to provide for your family, I work every bit as hard, doing this, faithful to the Lord in prayer and the ministry of His Word, to you.

I will never charge for this: it my responsibility to God, my calling. Freely I have been given, now, I freely give…

As you give, hear Holy Spirit what to give, and honestly expect God to reward you for your giving.

Matt 10: 41 He who receives and welcomes and accepts a prophet because he is a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward, and he who receives and welcomes and accepts a righteous man because he is a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. 42 And whoever gives to one of these little ones [in rank or influence] even a cup of cold water because he is My disciple, surely I declare to you, he shall not lose his reward.

I am a five-fold ministry gift and office – this is my life – I pray, I hear, I write, and wonderful things happen. You have your job description, I have mine – this is mine….

I have ‘see through’ faith for you, in this: Gal 3: 9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

I believe I have a responsibility before God to be like Jesus, in every offering I receive. I receive it with thanksgiving, just like Jesus did the little boys lunch.

Then, because I walk and live by faith according to the blessing of Abraham, I believe that God will take your seed sown, and multiply it, according to what the blessing of Abraham promises:

Genesis 22:17 In blessing I will bless you and in multiplying I will multiply your descendants like the stars of the heavens and like the sand on the seashore. And your Seed (Heir) will possess the gate of His enemies

It has been a joy to me, to see the hand of the living God act in the lives of those of you who have supported us this year!

Many have seen tremendous blessing come into your households, and for this we give thanks, and give Jesus all the glory!

What to Pray About – Laborers!

The Greatest Need in the Earth, Christian Labourers
Laborers! The Cry of Heaven!
Mark 6: 34 And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.

John 4:35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

Mt 9:37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
Mt 9:38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
laborers
Jesus is still moved with compassion, today, as He looks down from heaven upon the 7 billion people on planet earth. He sees the heartache, poverty, starving children, wars, sickness of body and soul, the betrayals, and the mess we as humans have created.

Without Him, we are lost. Yet, what did He do in His compassion during His earthly ministry, He began to teach the Word of God, to show people His love and how to live and get along with one another. He healed the sick, cast out demons, expanded the hearts, minds, and spirits of the people, thus gently, with great power, expanding His kingdom.

In every generation, the call goes out, not for the brokenness of the people, for their pain is ever before Him.

Visit and heal the sick, feed the hungry both naturally and spiritually, visit the prisoner and bring God’s justice and mercy to them, clothe the naked, quench the thirst of those who need water, and GIVE yourself to those who need hope, help and healing. This involves WORK, and quickly you discover you can’t do it alone, the needs are too great. We need laborers to help get it done!

No, the prayer is for laborers to be sent into His harvest field:

Let’s pray:
Father God, I have seen the brokenness of your people, and wept as I saw the horrible tragedies of injustice and pain these have caused. I would like to be part of the solution, not part of the problem. Teach me, train me, help my life to make a difference. I cry out for laborers to be sent into your harvest fields, and like Isaiah I hear the call, ‘Whom shall I send?”, even so Lord, ‘Here am I, send me, I pray, in your name Lord Jesus, Amen.

Why Should I Start a Bible School?

Why Should I Start a Bible School?.

Laborers! The Cry of Heaven!

Laborers! The Cry of Heaven!

Laborers – The Cry of Heaven!

It’s Harvest Time!

With over 7 billion people on planet earth, and only around 2.5 billion Christians, Jesus is aggressively pressing this generation into His harvest fields, already white, ripe, and ready to reap!

The gospel is the plan of God, He has no plan ‘B’. There are not many paths to God, as some suggest, but Jesus is the only way, the truth, and life, the only mediator between man and God, there is no other name given men under heaven, by which men MUST be saved.

One Way

Matt 9:35 ¶ And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Every time I step out and do something for God, I discover that there is always much more to be done. I find myself thinking: ‘Am I the only one who sees these people’s needs? Why are not more people helping?

Then I realize that it is because people do not know the Word of God yet, and so are blindly going through life from crisis to crisis, calamity to calamity, with often no thought about their eternal purpose, and God’s plan for them.

https://chrisaomministries.wordpress.com/2014/01/11/your-great-commission-embracing-your-destiny/

In Luke’s gospel, we see the prodigal, who comes to his senses, and who headed home to work as a slave if he could. Luke 15: 17 “when he came to himself,”

conquers himself

Such a simple phrase, yet so rich in implication. Around the world, prayer movements have been raised up, and the blinders are coming off people’s eyes, and that deep itch in their heart, that never quite gets scratched, no matter how fit we get, how great our relationships appear, how successful we become in academia or our career, how much money we make, there is still the deep question we must all face: Why am I here?

And then, “ What am I supposed to be doing with my life?”

Well, in short, you are created by design, to know, love, and worship God forever. Only He can meet the deepest needs of any human heart. You have a destiny, eternal worth and purpose, yet it is for you to fully discover and embrace the life you were born to live!

Secondly, you are to become part of the great commission, that is going into all the world, and making disciples of Jesus. These is no true joy, or eternal value, in anything else.

The question I have been asking myself: is my time best spent in prayer, that people come to themselves, and begin to seek first Jesus and His kingdom, or do I invest my time in teaching, and preaching the principals of the Word, training and equipping folks with life lessons, that are eternal?

Answer: Both!

I spend much time in my day, praying, and seeking the face of God for my life, then spending time praying for friends, families, governments, and ministries seeking to implement the kingdom of God in the earth.

At Victory Christian Center, where we attend church as a family for many years, (We are presently helping out in a church plant in North Tulsa: Zoe Life Church of Tulsa)  I see a tremendous vehicle raised up in terms of the international Bible schools. The two year course of study, has been translated into many languages. The curriculum gives pastors and Christian leaders an effective tool for training, developing, and equipping their own leaders, and releasing them into their callings in the earth. They can now be trained in their own country, language, and culture, without having to incur the huge expenses associated with having them come to the USA, to receive the exact same training!

If you have not yet attended a Bible school, and become grounded in the Word of God, you might consider it, as the next step on your eternal journey through life. Victory Bible College here in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the USA, offers many, many ways to complete your training through day, night, correspondence, and on-line courses.

“I’m too busy!”you say, or, “There is no way I have enough time”

So I will ask you this simple question: “If time and money were no object, would you be interested in attending Bible school?”

If you hear Holy Spirit whisper to your heart, His gentle “Yes!”, then please contact Victory Bible College, for more information, here: http://www.vbitulsa.com/

If you live outside the United States, please read my article on why you might consider pioneering a Bible school in your country. https://chrisaomministries.wordpress.com/why-should-i-start-a-bible-school/

This is one of the main things I have devoted my life to, and I will gladly help you, where possible, to raise up a school in your community. Many pastors, who have never had the privilege of attending a formal Bible training program, attend courses, in their own church, and go through the material with members of their congregation, becoming the first graduates of the program!

Bible7

They stand amazed at not only what God has done through them, through His Word, but through their ministries, as key members of their ministries, become empowered through the same training, to become servant leaders, and strong spiritual supports to the work!

If you, your church, or community might be interested in starting your own Bible school, please read the following article: https://chrisaomministries.wordpress.com/2013/12/12/why-should-i-start-a-bible-school

Let’s pray
‘Father, please train and equip me in your Word! Show me the balance of life, in growing, flowing, and knowing your kingdom. May I not settle into complacency, but constantly press towards the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus, committed to growth, without compromise! If you want me to attend a Bible school, please show me. If you want me to start one, please show me, in your name I pray Lord Jesus, Amen’
