Learn and Do! (and experience God’s blessing)

Learn and Do = Discipleship – the life of a ‘disciplined one’ – Lev 22:22 “You must keep all my decrees and regulations by putting them into practice; otherwise the land to which I am bringing you as your new home will vomit you out.

Father, help us to do what we know, so that we might understand, and receive the goodness of the land…in Your name I pray Lord Jesus

As we begin today’s Bible reading: http://oneyearbibleonline.com/daily-oyb/?version=51&startmmdd=0101

We read:

Leviticus 20:22 “You must keep all my decrees and regulations by putting them into practice; otherwise the land to which I am bringing you as your new home will vomit you out. 23 Do not live according to the customs of the people I am driving out before you. It is because they do these shameful things that I detest them. 24 But I have promised you, ‘You will possess their land because I will give it to you as your possession—a land flowing with milk and honey.’ I am the Lord your God, who has set you apart from all other people.

lev-20

So we see that though we are in this world, we are not of this world, but by the blood of Jesus, have been set apart for God’s eternal holy purposes both here in the earth, and forever, in heaven. Through that precious blood, we have a covenant with God almighty, creator of heaven and earth, and we are called to a new lifestyle – a life of purpose, honor, holiness, joy, peace, and blessing.

Not only do we find eternal purpose, but these verses, given as an example for us, show us that we can experience God’s blessing, not only in the sweet by and by, but in the here and now, in the earth, in our jobs, communities, and nations.

As I drink my coffee this morning, African style, with fresh natural honey, and some wonderful half and half, I see this verse literally come to pass in my life and the life of our family, as God Himself is honoring our years of sacrifice and service, where we have lived for Jesus, differently than the world around us, not according to their customs. In the short term, it looked foolish to take our money and go on missions trips, or help orphans, or do something good for others, but over the years, what goes around comes around. People love and respect us, simply because they know we have done them nothing but good….we eat the good of the land!

So will you, if you totally sell out for Jesus, it’s guaranteed. He has promised, and cannot lie…

Lev 20:26 You must be holy because I, the Lord, am holy. I have set you apart from all other people to be my very own.

be-holy

Be His today!

Read with me these words of the psalmists prayer:

Ps 46:Send out your light and your truth;
    let them guide me.
Let them lead me to your holy mountain,
to the place where you live.

We need Jesus, and Holy Spirit’s living presence each day, let’s seek Him afresh and anew TODAY!

Father, I need You, and ask for You to lead me and guide me today. Give me strength, courage, understanding, to do right, without compromise, for Your sake Lord Jesus, for You are worthy of my life. Amen’

In Tune with our Father's Heart....

The Heart of Faith!

Ps 145: 15 The eyes of all look to you,

and you give them their food at the proper time.

16 You open your hand

and satisfy the desires of every living thing.

Simple verse, keeps us focused. Every day, whether circumstances are stress free and it is our season of great prosperity of blessing, OR, we are in the trial of our life, trying to fully transition into our new season and place of perfect provision and blessing, our eyes must remain fixed upon Jesus, Yeshua, master and captain of our souls!

Jesus only did the will of our heavenly Father, and as He is, so should we be in this earth.

Let’s Pray:

“Father, again today, I seek to do Your perfect will, as You again do for me, what I cannot do for myself. Cause me to hear, see, and do, exactly what you need done, today, for my heart and eyes are fixed upon You. I love You Lord Jesus, thank You for again hearing, and answering…Amen!”

John 18: 37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

2 Samuel 15:23-16:23, John 18:25-19:22, Psalm 119:113-128, Proverbs 16:10-11 are today’s readings!

Do you know Jesus?
The world is full of religions, various practices where we work, and work, hoping and praying that we will reach and somehow please a holy God.
Religion is man’s attempt to reach God, JESUS is God’s attempt to reach man.
HE CAME, the helpless baby at Christmas we celebrate, God the Son.
HE LIVED a sinless life, performing mighty miracles in His earthly ministry: the blind see, the lame walk, the deaf hear, and demonic powers are broken by Him, and His kingdom!
HE DIED upon the cross, taking willingly upon this alter, the sin of all mankind, yours, and mine included. Yet, it is impossible for an innocent man to remain dead, and on the third day:
HE ROSE from the dead! He is alive!
Finally, after appearing to many, with over five hundred eyewitnesses, He ascended back into heaven, where He presently sits at the right hand of Father God:
HE REIGNS!
Dogs bark, birds chirp, cows moo, and sinners sin: Except a man be born again, he cannot even see the kingdom of God. Jesus did not come to make bad people good, or good people better, rather dead people alive. We must be born again. When we receive Jesus into our hearts, a miracle occurs: old things are gone, all things become new, we literally become new creations in God, our bodies become temples of the Holy Spirit, and we receive royal rights and privilege before the throne of God, as sons and daughters of the most high God.
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Each day, we seek first the kingdom of God, and this post is designed to encourage you to read through your Bible, daily, each year, seeking to meet with Him!

Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Joh 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Each day, as we read, we must meet with Him, for He is life!

Knowing Him, is the difference between heaven and hell, healing and sickness, heartbreak or peace, success or failure…

Today, give Him your life, for He is King of the universe. Only God, your Creator, the One who flung the universe into being, is big enough to fully understand the complexity of who you really are, powerful enough to literally recreate your life from all its drama’s and tragedies, and loving enough to heal your deepest pain. He knows you, and He cares…
The question is: Do you know Him?

Ac 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Call on Him today! He knows you, and He loves you! He will speak to you and give you direction, purpose, and peace!

Ro 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Let’s pray!
“Father God in heaven, I come to you now, and ask that You would forgive me. I choose to believe, that You raised Jesus from the dead, and Lord Jesus, I receive You now. Please come into my life, and fill me with Your presence, plan, and purpose, that I am created to live. Fill me with Your love, and may I obey, and love all those You place in my path, Amen.”
