The Spirit of Absalom – Avoid it!

The Spirit of Absalom
Chris Karen Walsh's photo.
2 Sam 13: 6 And on this manner did Absalom to all Israel that came to the king for judgment: so Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.

David never touched God’s anointed, even when Saul was hunting him in the mountains, and throwing spears at him. When someone comes to you, trying to discredit godly leadership, gently say: ‘Guess we need to pray for them, they have a lot of responsibility’. If the person bringing a bad report refuses to pray, leave. Touch not God’s anointed!
wolves prey
I was in a ministers conference once, and heard a man of God say that it was easy to discover the wolves who entered the flock of God by this simple test. From the pulpit, disclose some personal shortcoming, or moral failure God has forgiven you of. Some personal struggle that Jesus is seeing you through.

The sheep will immediately hit their knees in prayer, for love covers a multitude of sins. The wolves, excited at the sight of blood, will form a gossip network to attempt to destroy you as a leader. Sheep pray, wolves prey. Be one of God’s sheep today.
leaders choice
Let’s pray:
‘Father, you know the difficulties our leaders face, the responsibility they walk in every day. Let me be quick to pray for them, and not to judge them. Protect me from treacherous people, and add to me, people of integrity and honor today, in your name I pray Lord Jesus, Amen”

There is a RAM!

There is a Ram!

ram2
Lev 5:17 And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the LORD; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.
18 And he shall bring a ram without blemish out of the flock, with thy estimation, for a trespass offering, unto the priest: and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his ignorance wherein he erred and wist it not, and it shall be forgiven him.

There is a Ram, without spot or blemish, the sinless, holy, spotless, Lamb of God, our Lord Jesus Christ, who already did all the dying, any one of us might need. Yes, God is still Holy, and people still sin, knowingly and unknowingly, yet, each day, we can come before the very throne of God, and find that the precious, holy blood of Jesus, still speaks mercy before the throne of grace on our behalf.

Grab it and go!

Receive His mercy, and then get up, and receive power, grace, to serve, obey and walk with Him, today in His love, as He unfolds for you, tremendous wonders, great and mighty things that you could not comprehend!

ram3

Let’s pray:
“Father, thank you for your love and mercy! If I have sinned against you in any way, I ask you forgive me, and I receive the precious provision of the blood of Jesus upon my life, today. Empower me, to learn from this, to live in your love, power, grace, and holiness, today, and forever. Thank you Jesus, for your great sacrifice for me. Thank you for forgiving me, and showing me how to live! Make a way, for you are my waymaker, almighty King! AMEN!”

Victory Daily Bible Reading

Victory Daily Bible Reading

Feb 27th, 2014
Ex 24: 10 And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness.

Mark 2, and Ex 25, 26 are today’s readings!
Not just Moses, but all the elders, actually saw God! I believe we can see Him too, for it is the days of dreams and visions, and outpouring of the Holy Ghost.
Let’s Pray:
‘Father, we are the bride of Christ. Jesus, let’s do dinner and a movie. We eat of your word, and ask that You grant supernatural visions to us, simply because you Love us, and we love You! Amen!”

Do you know Jesus?
Each day, we seek first the kingdom of God, and this post is designed to encourage you to read through your Bible, daily, each year.

Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Joh 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Each day, as we read, we must meet with Him, for He is life!

Knowing Him, is the difference between heaven and hell, healing and sickness, heartbreak or peace, success or failure…

Today, give Him your life, for He is King of the universe.

Ac 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Call on Him today! He loves you!

Ro 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Let’s pray!
“Father God in heaven, I come to you now, and ask that You would forgive me. I choose to believe, that You raised Jesus from the dead, and Lord Jesus, I receive You now. Please come into my life, and fill me with Your presence, plan, and purpose, that I am created to live. Fill me with Your love, and may I obey, and love all those You place in my path, Amen.’

Rags to Robes

Rags to Robes

There is no righteousness on earth…

Isa 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

In today’s reading, we see Job, in his affliction, seeking to get right with God, and discovering, in and of himself, it is impossible.

Job 9:2 I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God?

20 If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me: if I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse.

30 If I wash myself with snow water, and make my hands never so clean;
31 Yet shalt thou plunge me in the ditch, and mine own clothes shall abhor me.
32 For he is not a man, as I am, that I should answer him, and we should come together in judgment.
33 Neither is there any daysman betwixt us, that might lay his hand upon us both.

v24 The earth is given into the hand of the wicked: he covereth the faces of the judges thereof; if not, where, and who is he?

This is the eternal cry of the heart of man, every man, for all of us have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

Job, was the most honorable man on the entire earth, living nobly before all men, yet his heart condemned him.

He knew, like all of us should we care to admit it, that God is Holy, and there is no way to possibly come to Him on His terms.

No matter how great our good works, our sin is ever before us, and it separates us from God.

I remember reading the testimony of Martin Luther, the Catholic priest now known as the one who brought the entire reformation to the church, through his one simple revelation.

He desired to please God, yet he was honest. As he would pray, he would see within himself, corruption, sin, desires that would never be able to face a holy God.

I understand that at one point in his life, he crawled over a mile down a cobblestone lane, on his knees in prayer, crying out to God in prayer, begging for forgiveness, cleansing, peace with God, yet it eluded him.

Job knew he needed a mediator, an acceptable sacrifice, one who could stand between him and God.

Deep in his heart, Martin Luther knew this too.

There are no amount of good works we can ever do, to absolve us of our sins, and permit us to enter heaven, and the presence of a holy God.

Man cannot make a way to God, and religion has always been a system of man’s rules and regulations to WORK one’s way to God.

Jesus, when He died upon the cross, as God the Son, shed His blood, and God received this blood, as an acceptable cleansing for the sin of humanity, on yours and my behalf, on only one condition:

‘The just shall live, by faith!’

These simple words, illuminated to the heart of Martin Luther, changed human history, and begun what is now known as the reformation.

You and I can have peace with God, only one way. Through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, by faith, plus nothing.

We cannot earn it, or in any way work our way into heaven. It is a free gift; Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

The only question is whether or not you would receive this gift, eternal life, and adoption into the family of God.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Do you believe?

If you would believe, then simply pray this pray, out loud:

“Father, I come to you, and ask that You forgive me. I choose to believe in what Jesus did for me on the cross. I receive His sacrifice and shed blood for me, and I receive Him as my Lord, and King now. I believe that God raised Him from the dead, and I determine to do what You want me to, now, and for the rest of my life, AMEN!
