The Problems We Have When God Shows Up!

As I read this passage from the account of the earthly ministry of Jesus, we see our Heavenly Father show up:

Mark 9. 5 And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

Interesting reading today.

Seems Peter, James and John, got to see Jesus transfigured, and meeting with Elijah and Moses on top of the mountain.

We Jesus literally fulfilling the law and the prophets, with Moses (the lawgiver) and Elijah (school of the prophets) present.

Yet, like we do often, we interpret the presence of God to mean what we think it ought to mean, based upon our limited understanding of the kingdom, and if we are not humble, and truly seeking truth, we miss it.

In this passage in Mark 5:

⁷ And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

Jesus is still speaking, and if we listen and obey, we will not only have revelation, but correct interpretation and application of what He wants done, when we slow down!

⁸ And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.

⁹ And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.

¹⁰ And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.

They saw Jesus accurately, meeting with Moses and Elijah in fulfillment of the law and the prophets, but there was a sovereign plan of heaven being unfurled, that they did not yet understand. Like most of us, they wanted to camp right there, in the revelation of that experience, but God is not just in the experience – He has the salvation of humanity being worked out in our lives.

The problem is usually not with the revelation we receive, rather the interpretation and implementation.

How often I have run, instead of waiting for clarification as to How God wanted something done, and erred in my zeal, my interpretation. His timing…

‘Father, continue to speak to us, grant us vision, revelation, Your presence. As you do, may we slow down long enough to get fuller understanding to interpret and apply that which you show us. In your name I pray Lord Jesus, Amen’

Thoughts on Effective Prophetic Intercession for nations
As I attended the ceremony and prayer meeting at ORU in Tulsa in 2013, as we prayed for the United States that day, I feel the Lord gave me some thoughts on how to effectively turn this, (or any other nation), in prayer.

1. Identify the problems. They are always rooted in sin. Ask God for the specific sins that needed to be forgiven.

2. Stand in the gap in vicarious intercession for these sins, asking God to forgive these, and pleading and applying the blood of Jesus on behalf of the the sin committed.

Ezekial 22: 29 The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.
30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

Number 16: 46 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the LORD; the plague is begun.
47 And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people.
48 And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.

Notice Daniel prayed for mercy for the whole nation of Israel.

Daniel 9: 1 ¶ In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans;
2 In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.
3 And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:
4 ¶ And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;
5 We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:
6 Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
7 O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.
8 O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.
9 To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;
10 Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.
11 Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.

3. Take authority over the demons, and wicked businesses, administrations, and costructs that have been raised up through these sins, and command them to move. By faith, destroy them.

Jer 1: 9 Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.
10 See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.

Luke 10:19 19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

Rom 8: 19 For [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God’s sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship].
20 For the creation (nature) was subjected to [i]frailty (to futility, condemned to frustration), not because of some intentional fault on its part, but by the will of Him Who so subjected it—[yet] with the hope
21 That nature (creation) itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and corruption [and gain an entrance] into the glorious freedom of God’s children.
22 We know that the whole creation [of irrational creatures] has been moaning together in the pains of labor until now.
23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves too, who have and enjoy the firstfruits of the [Holy] Spirit [a foretaste of the blissful things to come] groan inwardly as we wait for the redemption of our bodies [from sensuality and the grave, which will reveal] our adoption (our manifestation as God’s sons).

4. After we have destroyed, by faith demonic strongholds, and the works of wicked men, we can then ask Father God, for what should be there. Plant righteous works of redemptive love, in their place.

 Ps 74:20 Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.

Jer 1:⁹ Then the Lord put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.

¹⁰ See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.

Matt 18: 18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
The Lord was showing me today, during national day of prayer, how many of these types of prayers were being prayed, but that we ask him to plant (do something) in an area, where darkness has not yet been repented of, and demons routed, our prayers are not effectual in producing the desired results. He wants us to understand, so that we can honestly turn our nation around, and back to righteousness.

Let’s Pray:
‘Father, show us how to pray. Open our eyes to the sin of our nation, as we come before you, standing in the gap for our country. Have mercy Father, as we plead the blood of Jesus over our sins, blot them out we pray. Forgive us!
Now, by faith, we apply that very blood to the evil sacrifices sin generated, and take our place, in your authority, made to sit together with Christ in heavenly places. We command every demon spirit, businss, administration, organization and construct, to MOVE, and leave our land, NOW, in Jesus name.

Father, by faith, we establish, and call forth, and loose your kingdom here in America, in righteousness, peace and joy, in the Holy Spirit, Amen

Prophesy!

Prophesy!

Ah! The anointing on the elders – visionary directives from heaven, to lead the people of God, into His perfect plan!
Num 11:
25 And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.
29 And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the LORD’S people were prophets, and that the LORD would put his spirit upon them!

1Co 14:31 For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.

1Co 14:39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.

God cannot lie, and this is the last days, where He is pouring out His Spirit upon all flesh, with visions, dreams, revelation, signs, wonders and miracles following the utterance of His voice through His people.

Rather, than give a long teaching on the prophetic, I am simply giving you a call to action, like Nike says: ‘Just Do It!’.

Seek the prophetic today, and desire to prophesy. As you can see, it’s in the book!

Let’s Pray:
‘Father, I thank you for pouring out precious Holy Spirit today in the earth, with signs, wonders and mighty acts of Your power demonstrating the utterance of Your decrees, through us, Your church. I fully surrender to You Lord Jesus! Use me today, flow through me, and grant me prophetic gifting and utterance, that You might be glorified Lord Jesus, Amen!”

The Flicker…

A Word from the Lord:

The Flicker: Child, Even so I have heard your cries that have ascended to my throne, in passion and anguish of soul. I have answered, in ways to great for you to fully comprehend right now. Your emotions have been tattered and torn, and your soul feels as if you have given up, yet you have said “YES!” to the whisper of my voice. Repeatedly I have come to you, for decisions of your heart, and though weary, you have continued to say ‘Yes’ to my perfect will and my way. Gently, keep saying “Yes”. This flicker of faith, is all I require of you, as the heavy machinery of heaven is moving in great power on your behalf, to fully manifest your gift and calling. As fervently and determined as you have purposed in your heart to serve Me, know this: I am even more determined to bring to pass that which I have shown you in years past. I have spoken, and I will surely bring it to pass!

 

Prophetic Ministry

Mt 9:4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?

Lu 11:17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.

Prophetic leadership is fun to be around. Holy Spirit can show us not only what people are saying and doing, but why they are doing them. Just had a leader flash by in prayer that brought a smile to my face. Purity of heart, and passion and obedience for Jesus is the only way to please us folks..

Works the other way too..God shows us selfish ambition, pride, and the acts of sin people commit, so we can pray, and protect the people we are called to lead.

Let’s Pray:
‘Father, give us true, loving discernment, and discerning of spirits today, that we might see what is in the hearts of those in our lives you have called us to serve. May we be quick to pray, and act in obedience to you to protect your people from false people, ministers, and demons seeking to destroy or defile your people. Give us wisdom on how to correct them, whether in prayer, or through ministry, that they, and Your kingdom may advance. I ask this, knowing I am heard, for I ask in Your name Lord Jesus, Amen’

The Second Coming of Jesus..Get Right or Get Left!

Micah 4: 1 ¶  But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.

2  And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Here we see it again, the gates to the kingdom of heaven opened to receive all people who would come to Him through Jesus. There is no higher place than the throne of God, and positionally, we have been raised up to walk with Him, reconciled to Him, spiritually.

Eph 2:6  And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

So, we study and pray, and walk with Him, learning to walk in His ways!

Bible scholars who study Bible prophecy, have claimed that this verse: ‘for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem,’ is literally being fulfilled before our eyes, when there have been internationally televised events, teaching the Word of God, from Jerusalem. Truly Jesus is coming back again, to rule and reign the earth, from Jerusalem, and though I am not deeply educated in Bible prophecy or eschatology (study of end times), it is clear that we are living in the very final moments of this chapter in human history.

 

Will Jesus return?

Definitely!

When?

I’m staying with the words of Jesus Himself:

Mt 24:36  But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

 

Mt 24:42  Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

Yet, He is coming again! I believe it to be soon, perhaps in our generation!

 

One of the Mt 16:3  And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and glowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

Jesus said we would know the signs of the times, and He told us what they were:

Matt 24:3  And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

4 ¶  And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5  For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

This has been fulfilled myriad times over, through the multitudes of false religions in the world.

6  And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

 

Surely, there are wars and rumors of wars, constantly plaguing this pain-wracked planet.

 

7  For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

 

Nation rises against nation (actual war), kingdom against Kingdom (kingdom of satan arises against the Kingdom of God), famines ( one out of five children will go to bed tonight, hungry), pestilences (AIDS, viruses, flu bugs, diseases), Earthquakes (there have been more earthquakes, or greater magnitude, this century, than all the other centuries combined).

8  All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9  Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

 

Check out statistics of voice of the martyrs, more Christians are being killed for their faith, than ever before.

 

10  And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11  And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

12  And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

13  But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

14  And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

This is my verse! I love to see how quickly the gospel is being preached internationally, in how many languages. This is one of my benchmarks of the signs of the times in which we live. I will try and locate some stats to post.

Yet, I need to post a thought my wife posed to me, regarding end-times. She believes that these portions of Scripture describing the second coming of Christ, are chronological, and literal.

She posed me the following thought, that I have never heard taught before that I wish to suggest to you:

That the passages where Jesus appears, are always after signs in the heavens, the sun and the moon.

Luke 21: 25  And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

26  Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

27  And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

Matt 24:29  Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30  And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31  And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Acts 2:20  The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

21  And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Rev 6:12  And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

13  And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

14  And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

15  And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

16  And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

17  For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

She believes that all of these verses refer to the same event, the second coming of the Lord. That the signs in the sun, moon, and heavens are to be discerned, and are the final prophetic events to be fulfilled before Jesus literally appears this next time.

Never heard this taught before, nor am I schooled enough in prophetic events to dispute, nor confirm her reasoning, but it is an interesting perspective. What do you think Bible scholars?

Joel 2:28 ¶  And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

29  And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

30  And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

31  The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

Yet look at the next verse!

32  And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

 

This sure looks like a victorious church, preaching Jesus, with mighty signs and wonders accompanying, then, the great and terrible day of the Lord.

This is my position, I am determined to be walking tight with Jesus, boldly proclaiming the gospel, with signs following, and let Him come!

Daniel saw the these last days and wrote: 

Daniel 11:32

And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

That would be me!

So, whatever we are called to be doing, we need to do it, faithfully, with all our heart, as unto the Lord! I read the following story that seems appropriate here:

During his 1960 presidential campaign, John F. Kennedy often closed his speeches with the story of Colonel Davenport, the Speaker of the Connecticut House of Representatives: On May 19th, 1780 the sky of Hartford darkened ominously, and some of the representatives, glancing out the windows, feared the end was at hand. Quelling a clamor for immediate adjournment, Davenport rose and said, “The Day of Judgment is either approaching or it is not. If it is not, there is no cause for adjournment. If it is, I choose to be found doing my duty. Therefore, I wish that candles be brought.” Rather than fearing what is to come, we are to be faithful till Christ returns. Instead of fearing the dark, we’re to be lights as we watch and wait.

So, it appears that the main thing we can be doing with our lives to participate the second coming of Jesus, is to preach, pray, or support the witness of the gospel into every nation, tribe or people group, with every available resource at our disposal:

 

‘Let’s pray:

‘Father God, prepare me to be the bride, without spot or wrinkle, I am called to be. Jesus, open doors for me to preach, pray, proclaim, or support the preaching of your Word to the ends of the earth. Amen’

 

A Prayer Victory For the United States

Luke 4:13 NIV
When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time

The past couple of days, I have had a great burden to pray for the US, convinced that Islam was up to some treachery, to attempt to take over. Felt that accepting these Syrian refugees was part of an evil, demonically inspired plan of destruction for this nation. Prayed, and commanded satan to leave.

This morning, Holy Spirit illuminated this verse to me. My thinking is that we, the church, have just won a victory, but our enemy is not dead, simply looking for a more opportune time…

Obviously, he is a mind-blinding spirit, who loves to kill, steal, destroy, in his vain attempt to take over…He is a liar, and the father of all lies.

The people who serve him, become more and more like him.

We must be vigilant, sober, alert in these last days, for though they be dangerous times, they are also times of great exploits for those of us who sell out to Jesus – We will see signs, wonders, and miracles, greater than we have ever seen before – He is still building His church, and the gates of hell are not prevailing against us!

Locks, Keys, and Doors…

Doors that are locked securely to the disobedient and unbelieving stand before you. If you would fully obey me, and ask, I will give you wisdom, Keys of Knowledge, that will open great doors of favor, utterance, promotion, and prosperity, if you would only take the time to fully seek Me, and Hear my voice! ‪#‎FollowJesus‬

Next Year in Jerusalem!

Why Jerusalem? Why Israel?

Mic 4:1 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.
Mic 4:2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

This is the last days. This is a prophetic word, given by God to the prophet Micah, for these times.

We are the nations, and we are to go, to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob, to the city of the great King, Jerusalem, capital of the whole earth, city of our God.

Our Christian conviction is that Christ is also the messiah of Israel. Certainly it is in the hands of God how and when the unification of Jews and Christians into the people of God will take place.

The Word of the Lord shall be decreed from Jerusalem, and we will walk in His paths, Jesus the way and the waymaker, and Holy Spirit will teach, instruct, guide, and write the law of God on the fleshly tables of our hearts.

God has given eternal covenant to the Jewish people. Jesus, Yeshua, Son of God, is divine in that God, Creator of the Universe has given all people, all nations, the privilege of knowing Him.

Therefore He is the Father of all who would believe, yet Mary, the one God chose to give birth to Messiah, is of the lineage of the House of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, from the house of David, making Yeshua, fulfillment of the covenant to the house of Israel, Messiah, Saviour to all who would believe…

Do you have it in your heart to return to Israel?

This is heaven tugging at your heartstrings, for these words, written thousands of years ago, must come to pass, for God is Holy. He cannot lie. When He has spoken, it must come to pass!

Let’s pray:
‘Father, next year in Jerusalem! Jesus, make a way for me, my family, my church to celebrate You in praise, adoration, and thanksgiving, in the land you call home. Amen!’
