Days of Heaven upon the Earth?

Days of Heaven upon the earth!

Days northern lights

One night, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, we attended an all-night prayer meeting at what was then called ‘The Downtown Church’ (it’s now called City Church), and as we left the building, in the pre-dawn darkness of Canadian winter, the sky exploded in living colors, in what we now call ‘The Northern Lights’.

I heard pastor Rod Parsley say, in a revival service a term that is the topic of this teaching:

“Seed the heavens, and establish the earth”.

David Ingles, a well known Christian song writer, has written a song, on this reality, and taught extensively about days of heaven upon the earth. (http://www.davidinglesmusic.org/~shop/02—these-are-days-of-heaven-on-the-earth/166353/)

Days Heaven quote

Let’s look at this concept, as we continue in our life of faith (Fantastic Adventures in Trusting Him).

faith

Deut 11:7 But your eyes have seen all the great acts of the LORD which he did.
8 ¶ Therefore shall ye keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and possess the land, whither ye go to possess it;
9 And that ye may prolong your days in the land, which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give unto them and to their seed, a land that floweth with milk and honey.
10 For the land, whither thou goest in to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt, from whence ye came out, where thou sowedst thy seed, and wateredst it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs:
11 But the land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven:
12 A land which the LORD thy God careth for: the eyes of the LORD thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.
13 And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,
14 That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.
15 And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full.
16 Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;
17 And then the LORD’S wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you.
18 ¶ Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.
19 And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
20 And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:
21 That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.
22 For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;miracles

Let’s look at this portion of Scripture in light of the New Testament truths that we are considering.

Deut 11:7 But your eyes have seen all the great acts of the LORD which he did.
8 ¶ Therefore shall ye keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and possess the land, whither ye go to possess it;

I am convinced that the Lord has worked with me over the years, performing His Word with signs following.

John 4:48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

Remember all the great things He has already done for you, His child. Stay with the Word of God, keeping your spirit fed. I read the following quote, written by Kenneth Copeland that says this well:

“To have faith, and stay strong in faith, we must have a fresh supply of the Word on a regular basis. It is our life force. The Bible is a supernatural book infused with power by the Holy Spirit. When we take it in our eyes and ears and get the truth into our hearts, it becomes a force on the inside of us. Then we can speak words out our mouths that will bring deliverance, not only for ourselves but for others.

If you don’t feed your spirit the Word and you get too busy to pay attention to God, you will become weak. The strength of your spirit will begin to wane just as your physical strength diminishes when you don’t feed your physical body. The change could be so gradual that you don’t really notice it at first and you become deceived into thinking you are all right.

However if you continue to starve your spirit, one day you’ll wake up and find you’ve become a spiritual skeleton. You’ll wonder how it happened saying, I’m a Christian…how can my life be in such bad shape?

Well I’ve got news for you. Christians have to do more than just breathe to stay free. We won’t enjoy good health, live prosperously and stay in peace if we don’t spend time with God and His Word and walk in truth.

If you desire to see a change in your life, get busy in the Word and find out what belongs to you in Christ Jesus. Feed your spirit God’s Word. It will put meat on your spirit man—it will change and empower you.”

As we read these verses from Deuteronomy, remembering that Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever, we see some principals that can literally produce days of heaven upon the earth for us.

As we feed on the Word, we become strong, and access the strength of God, so that we are strong in the Lord, and the power of His might. Now we need to do like Jesus said, and “Occupy until He comes!” That is, v8, be strong, and go in and possess the land

Notice it says we are going to prolong our days, which speaks of long life, but it also means that this conquest may well take awhile.

Days choice

Now this land is worth fighting for, for it is a land flowing with milk and honey and it is continually supplied by God Himself, drinking water from the rain of heaven.

This speaks of health and plenty, the rain of heaven being the Holy Spirit. This land is the land of the Holy Spirit, found here in the earth.

Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
Acts 2:18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

12 A land which the LORD thy God careth for: the eyes of the LORD thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.
13 And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,
14 That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.

As you pray in the Holy Spirit and continue to seek Jesus, you will find His tender touch on all that we do, for we are His garden, the land that He careth for.

heaven earth

Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Days 120 And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:
21 That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.

We must fully commit to the Word of God in all that we do, in our life and teaching the Word to our children, having them pasted around our houses and doors. We have even stepped this up a bit, we have printed out various promises of God, and put them in our vehicles. While we are driving or stopped at a red light, we deliberately confess God’s Word over our lives, and sing and tell our children Bible stories as we drive.

When we do this, we discover God to be a covenant keeping God, and that He ever watches over His Word to establish it, and that our days, become days of heaven upon the earth.

Day happy

Let’s look at a few more verses along this line.

Is 55:10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

You need to see this principal. Remember we learned that

2 Peter 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Everything we will ever need for life and godliness has already been given to us by God. How? He is Holy and ever watches over His Word to perform it. He cannot lie.

Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

no lie

2 Cor 1:18 But as God is true, our word toward you was not yea and nay.
19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.
20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

The Word ‘Amen’ simply means, ‘so be it’.

See this? In the heavenlies, where God sits upon His throne, He is listening for the voice of His Word to be echoed back to Him out of the mouths of his children. His Word is already established in the heavens, He has said it, and He will perform it. The problem is in the return of His Word to Him, He is waiting for steady, steadfast faith to remind Him of His promises, declaring in this generation that which has been eternally established in the heavenlies.

2 Chronicles 16:9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

Days cross

Daniel 11:32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

You are one of these. One called to access the power of Almighty God, out of intimacy with Him, and to be strong and do exploits, experiencing heaven upon this earth.

Jeremiah 1:11 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.
Jeremiah 1:12 Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.

There is more in this verse than the English shows at first.

The Hebrew word for almond tree is ‘a watcher’. This is the same word used here, that translators chose as ‘hasten’, is the word ‘watches’. This is a play on words, a subtle but powerful allegory.

Let me try and translate it. What do you see Jeremiah? Jeremiah is a man learning to walk in the prophetic, and in the revelatory gifts of God. God is instructing him personally, intimately.

Jeremiah replies, as God draws his attention to an almond tree. “I see a watcher” (The position we are all supposed to be in with heaven, continually attentive and watching what Holy Spirit is directing us to do, or show us in the earth).

God’s reply to Jeremiah is powerful, and affects us directly today.

Indeed you have seen right Jeremiah, you see a watcher. I too am a watcher, I ever watch over my Word to perform it.

Now, God has already provided for us, Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

The greatest spiritual blessing after we have received Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior. (If you are not sure about why we need to do that, please read: (https://chrisaomministries.wordpress.com/2014/11/10/the-gospel-the-power-of-god/)

The challenge is living out of heavens unlimited resource, here in the earth.

These verses show us how to do this.

When we tithe, Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Tithing and giving offerings as the Lord leads are important, but not everything.

2 Corinthians 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

Then we must reap our harvest by meditating upon and confessing God’s Word, daily, while endeavouring to be led by the precious Holy Spirit.

This is not a formula, but the fruit of an obedient life!

Isaiah 1:19
If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land

Many people have heard and practice the first two areas of Biblical prosperity, that is stewardship, and the giving of tithes and offerings. Yet, it is this third area where most Christians miss it, obedience to Holy Spirit, and in the return of God’s Word, the reaping of their harvest. The confession of our faith, verbally: God’s Word is planted in our hearts, then we proclaim what we believe.

2 Corinthians 4:13
Yet we have the same spirit of faith as he had who wrote, I have believed, and therefore have I spoken. We too believe, and therefore we speak,

faith speaks
When we confess God’s Word. We are seeding the heavens. When God answers His Word in power, we establish the earth.

If I have learned nothing about fights it’s this. In the military it’s called the pre-emptive strike position, or first strike. In good old fashioned school yard scraps its called getting the first lick in.

You are in a fight of faith now, whether you like it or not. Satan is not going to leave you alone, and let you live a peaceful earthly existence.

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

He hates you, and is actively seeking to destroy you. The only choice you have is whether you want to aggressively establish God’s kingdom, by confessing His Word offensively, or whether you want to have to play cat and mouse responding to his attacks.

I have now given you life, and enough to begin an incredible victorious journey in Jesus, in this life. Now what are you going to do with it?

Let’s pray:

‘Father, I see the possibility of your provision for my experience of literal days of heaven upon the earth. I choose right now, to make your Word, final authority in my life, and choose this life of Victory in you. Today I purpose to walk in humility and gratefulness to you, developing myself in the praise and worship of you. I choose to study you Word, and to live by it, deliberately believing and confessing it, over my circumstances. I choose to develop my prayer life, praying in the Holy Spirit continually as I go about my daily activities. I am quick to hear and obey you, as you direct me into your paths. I thank-you for continually instructing, encouraging and guiding me into days of heaven upon the earth, as I walk in the life and life more abundantly that you have provided Lord Jesus, Amen!’

As you give, hear Holy Spirit what to give, and honestly expect God to reward you for your giving.

Matt 10: 41 He who receives and welcomes and accepts a prophet because he is a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward, and he who receives and welcomes and accepts a righteous man because he is a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. 42 And whoever gives to one of these little ones [in rank or influence] even a cup of cold water because he is My disciple, surely I declare to you, he shall not lose his reward.

I have ‘see through’ faith for you, in this: Gal 3: 9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
I believe I have a responsibility before God to be like Jesus, in every offering I receive. I receive it with thanksgiving, just like Jesus did the little boys lunch.
Then, because I walk and live by faith according to the blessing of Abraham, I believe that God will take your seed sown, and multiply it, according to what the blessing of Abraham promises:
Genesis 22:17 In blessing I will bless you and in multiplying I will multiply your descendants like the stars of the heavens and like the sand on the seashore. And your Seed (Heir) will possess the gate of His enemies

Blessing
It has been a joy to me, to see the hand of the living God act in the lives of those of you who have supported us this year!

Many have seen tremendous blessing come into your households, and for this we give thanks, and give Jesus all the glory!
